I want to give 5 stars but it snags clothing!
I really want to give this product 5 stars it is amazing and has made my runs so much better. However, I needed to voice this concern- since I began using about 2 weeks ago I noticed it has snagged and destroyed so much of my running clothes :(. I'm so sad. I did however find a fix for this problem, I have a flip belt for running (also offered on amazon) and I weave the leash through the flip belt. Just a tip to save your clothes.

Game changer
This leash has been wonderful. I've used it for three runs with my dog, each around 3 miles, and on each one I was impressed. The first thing I noticed was how much easier it was for my to keep stride, especially on hills, when I could swing both my arms freely. It is also easier to use a poop bag with both hands free. The second reason I really really like it was discovered when we saw a squirrel running around and my girl tried to run with it. With the old leash I had to pull her in, and brace myself so she didn't jerk my arm. With this leash I was able to just brace myself a bit, and the leash did most of the work for me. She was pulled back without me having to pull on the leash and I wasn't pulled off stride. I will definitely be using this leash from now.

LOVE LOVE LOVE--- have to get it!
I have a pretty big dog and although she doesn't pull me when we walk, I liked the idea of not having to hold the leash. I try to walk my girl on grass, dirt paths and really try to minimize concrete-she was in a kennel and concrete shelter for so long before I got her- so the handsfree leash allows us to walk on different terrain with ease! Also, I can wear my weight vest when we go out now, which is something I couldn't really do before when I had to keep one hand on the leash.Another thing I absolutely adore is that, the leash can't get away from me... I had one instance when my hands were sweaty from our workout and she got away, not far at all but enough to make my heart drop. Thank the good Lord nothing happened, but this was enough for me to attach her to me using a her nylon cord leash looped through a regular belt... but thanks to people's pictures and reviews, I ordered this and I'm so happy.Lastly, I'm a huge Cesar Milan fan, I use his collar for my dogs and this leash works well with it because of the handle attached... but also because the added sense of security the belt brings, keeps me extra confident on our walks. My dog still gets over excited when she sees other dogs (she was pretty much alone her first two years of life before I adopted her) but now she's chilling out little by little and I know it's because of the feelings of security I have with this leash!UPDATE: My dog is becoming so much more relaxed when she sees other dogs... she tried to do her dart and dash and she bounced back....lol. She figured out very quickly that she can't do that and best of all I didn't have to correct her. Being a special education teacher, I always love it when the kids figure out things on their own and as a pet parent, I am super happy and thankful for this leash!

Has improved our quality of life
I originally bought this because I had a dog who was like darting into traffic to bark at motorcycles. I'm the type of person to buy a shower stool as well, I'm all about safety and minimizing risklol. While I've trained my dog to not lunge, she can't help herself if she sees a squirrel and sometimes a bicycle will still set her off. It gives me a lot of peace to know that she will never ever ever dart out into unsafe territory whether we are on a side walk (I still hold the leash for control, but if I let go of the leash it would be fine) or mountain peak. I pair this with her prong collar, it turned out to be fine although I did switch to a ruffwear 3 buckle harness. Master web I think it was called, because I want to get away from collars besides the one she uses for ID at all times.I love knowing that if I'm on a hike and my dog slips, or more realistically I slip, I will not lose my dog because she is attached to me. She wouldn't run away but there is all kinds of little critters she likes to dart after. I like the clip for poop bags so that I am never without, and this is my preferred leash system. Otherwise I use a retractable leash if we are going on a long walk, but if I'm feeling at all tired or craving security I will use this. If she pulls, she just bounces herself back. She has learned to walk calmly on this leash and it makes me feel good like I could take her anywhere, even to an outdoor festival or something. I love having this much control over my dog but without my hands, because I like to keep one hand in my pocket but have the other one free.I like this for a feeling of hands-free security when I'm hiking or walking with my dog.

Great leash, great customer service
I initially bought the 48" leash because I thought it might be better for my small-medium dog. I didn't take into account that I'm fairly short, so the leash ended up being too long. I asked the seller how I could exchange the leash for the 36" version. He sent me a new one for free, and told me to give away my old one instead of shipping it back! Really excellent service. (I ended up giving away the long version to a tall friend with a small dog!)The leash is great for walking and running the dog. It works exactly as advertised. However, if your dog is a strong puller, this may not be the right leash for you. When my dog is pulling a little too much on a regular leash, I can gently pull/snap on it to get her to focus on me again. But a bungee cord absorbs a little too much of the snap, so sometimes it feels like I'm pulling a rubber band trying to get my dog to give up a spot she's been sniffing way too long. My dog doesn't do this often, so the effort is worth it for me.
