So far, so good
Seems to work well. Easy to use, and the scissors did work well for me. No sign of mice in basement since I used it about 3 weeks ago. You get plenty, too.

Hace lo que dice. Le dan un par de guantes y unas tijeras para usar y cortar. Recomendable

Worth starting with this package, even if you need more
We bought a bulk pack of Xcluder rolls because we knew we'd be using it, but I'm happy we *also* bought this package. It meant I didn't have to waste time looking for something to cut the fabric, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gloves. You DEFINITELY need gloves to handle this material, because the little metal fibres in it are very fine and sharp. Even though I expected the gloves to be cheap ones that I'd want to replace with my own, the gloves included were great. I have reasonable dexterity in them (they are a little large; I have small hands), and I can actually use my hands to press the fabric into larger crevices without getting little slivers of metal stuck on either my fingers or the gloves. If you have large meaty hands you may need different gloves, but these ones are actually better than the ones I thought I would use (I had some nitrile-coated gardening gloves). The weave of the fabric is tighter than that of my gardening gloves and the coating on the front is thick and durable. As for the probable effectiveness of this stuff as a barrier: you just have to touch this stuff to know that it will be an unpleasant barrier for rats and mice. I've used steel wool before; it's okay but I can handle most steel wool with my bare hands. I was surprised by this stuff – it was painfully prickly even when it was still in the bag. Our determined neighbourhood rats seem to have no problems removing steel wool from crevices, but I have a feeling that this stuff will exact a price. I can't imagine trying to push or pull this stuff with bare skin, or worse, getting those little slivers of stainless steel in my mouth or nose or tongue. Yikes. Some other comments...It might be good to indicate the size of the gloves on package so people will know if they ought to buy a bulk pack alone and some larger gloves. Also, I recommend using safety glasses and wearing clothing with good coverage when installing this stuff. The little metal fibres are very fine, and when you cut the fabric you will be scattering small sharp fibres around your work area. The scissors aren't amazing at cutting the fabric, but they are good enough to do the job, even if I have to work pretty hard at cutting. And I'm happy not to sacrifice a good pair of scissors trying to cut this stuff.

Good product
Replacement for regular steel wool. Seems to be ok. Weave seems very tight.

Works well
This stuff worked great! It wasn’t nearly enough for what we needed though. Wish we would have just found a bigger pack from the start.
