Lust (The Allure Chronicles Book 2)

Daisy is slowly turning into an Allure. Owen and Daisy need to find a way to stop the transformation.Cliffhanger... And the next book isn't out yet. FML.Spoilers...They end up needing to go to another realm. Violet and Hugh take them there. Then they get to where they need to be to get rid of the essence taking over her.This book was kind of... long winded. It was about two people that had no clue what was going on and who trusted no one. The trust thing was way over the top. I feel like it was mentioned on every other page. It was a frustrating book because everyone had knowledge or secrets they weren't willing to share, it was ridiculous. If it hadn't been for the romance factor, I'm not sure I would have finished reading the book. The last thing and it's a biggy... No one was trying to kill them. No one's life was really in danger, to me, that is why I read these books. It's the save the world adventures that keep me reading.I'm not sure if I should give the book two or three stars. The only saving grace was the romance. It was good enough in the book that I did cry at the end. I will finish this series, it was just a disappointing read. I'm hoping the next book in the series is better.It was in dual POVs. The editing was good.

While book one (Lure) is a bit slow in launching Owen's story, and introducing Daisy, book two (Lust) kicks it into gear and finally goes somewhere. It delves into world building beyond the human-paranormal world already introduced or known to fans of the Crescent and Empire Chronicles. Readers who came to know Owen through those earlier series will enjoy getting to know him on a deeper level. Daisy's character also becomes better known in this book, and the struggle the two them face in this story will keep a reader's attention. The story ends on a twist, making book three (Lost) a must read--it just can't end this way, poor Owen deserves better. This series can be read as stand alone, but it is more well rounded if one is familiar with the other series it springs from.

Where do I even begin?! It took me a second to write this review because, Holy Cliffhanger Batman, this book was AMAZING! My emotions are still reeling (in the best way possible) after reading this book.Lust picks up right where Lure left off and the first 5 pages are absolutely swoon worthy. In the rush to fix Daisy we get to journey to Energo (all of you Afterglow/Forged fans will love this) and on the way we meet fun new species (hello, Dragos) and get to know more about the elusive Allures.Love how Alyssa interweaves all of her series (read the others if you haven't because they're awesome).All in all it was a great read that had me face palming, laughing, swooning, crying and on the edge of my seat drooling for the next book to come out. Another great Alyssa Rose Ivy read.

Book two of the Allure Chronicles brings passion, love and predicaments that turn this couple upside down.Owen is my favorite Pteron, and now he's found his perfect match in Daisy. But the torment they face together could prove that not all couples get their HEA. The pacing of this book was perfect. The characters are well developed, but what makes this great is that you see them mature and gain strength with each adversity they face.The end is torture...but so worth reading.You'll fall in love with them just as I did and see why my heart was gutted at the end...

I was so excited to read more about Owen and Daisy, and Ivy really delivered. I really loved this book. In fact, I am in love with the main characters. The entire adventure was a wild ride, written by an extraordinary storyteller. I was riveted until the very end. Then, she delivered a heartbreaking cliffhanger that made me hope that the next book, Lost, could be delivered today.**sigh** I am positive that Ivy will make it worth the wait… She always does. I highly recommend The Allure Chronicles, including the latest release. Now is the time to catch up if you haven’t already started!5 stars!

What will Owen do, now that he has found his soul mate?The book is the second installment in this series and it doesn't disappoint. The characters are fascinating and I cannot wait for the next book.

The author is known for her paranormal character and she has yet done it again! Great series with characters from the past. I strongly recommend to paranormal romance lovers

Owen & Daisy's story continues. Daisy is in trouble and time is going by fast. There is only one hope to keep her human, one hope at keeping her emotions intact including her love for Owen, but it won't be easy. In fact it's going to be pretty much impossible, but they have to try. Help comes from unexpected sources, but are they really trying to help, or are they just speeding the process along?This book left me on the edge of my seat wanting more! I can't wait for book 3 :)

Alyssa! You did it AGAIN! You simply captured my attention, my heart and you are not willing to give them back! I hope it will stay that way for a very very long time!Lust shows us the importance of emotions. Just like book one. Daisy and Owen finally found each other but even though they are together the doom of loosing ability to feel by Daisy is approaching them quickly. The time is not in their favour and they have to act now to find a cure for her if they want to save their love. Their future.This book is turn, twists and so much more. Even though Alyssa is explaining so many things she is raising new ones all the time. Who Owen and Daisy can trust? Who is behind the whole thing? SO MANY questions.Alyssa is a mastermind (kind of evil) with creating web of unaswered issues that just pull the reader into her world and is not willing to let them go. I just feel that there will be an epic ending to this series. And I definitely dread next part!5 heavenly good stars!

Love this series

The second book in Owen and Daisy's story. Full of emotion, excitement and drama. We have visits from past characters Levi, Allie and Georgina, which was brilliant to read. So looking forward to the next instalment, Alyssa has done it again.

Another amazing and captivating read! I literally couldn't put it down, the whole Society world is one that just keeps getting better! Can't wait for the next one.
