New Replacement Remote Controller Compatible for Apple Mac Music System TV iPhone (MC377LL/A)

It works great if you've got an old Apple TV 3rd Gen. At first, I thought I'd gotten a dud. I checked to make sure I'd put the batteries in correctly, thought I had, tried it again, no response. Then I looked again and whereas with all my other remotes, the positive end goes in first, on THIS model, the NEGATIVE end of the batteries go to the front (smh). Oh well, all's well that end well. When I put them in the way it shows in the battery compartment, it connected right up and is working fine w/ my Apple TV.

First off, this remote works. It smells like chemicals and plastic to high-heaven but works. The buttons are incredibly loud when depressed, and need to be depressed quite a bit. The remote itself is NOT high quality, but this replacement will suffice (namely because there is no other replacement out there).I would recommend this product if you cannot afford or find an original replacement Apple TV remote. Only get this if there is no other option.

There were no directions so I placed the batteries in and clicked the remote, however, although it made a connection to the apple tv black box (blinking light) it did not work on the tv. I researched how to pair it and followed directions from[...]. I unpaired it under General, remotes, unpair remote. It then worked with the remote. On the other hand, I do like that it is larger and easier to hold than original remote.

Dangerous/defective product.We needed a new Apple TV remote, as our kiddos lost the little silver Apple one. So, I gave this a try based on reviews. As soon as I put the batteries in and started to try and sync it to our Apple TV, the remote became very hot. It was so hot to the touch that I had to put it down and then immediately tried to remove the batteries. I am so glad our little kids were not holding it! I am sending it back ASAP for a refund, and hoping I can find something else to replace our lost remote. Amazon shouldn't sell this device, either, as they are now on notice that it could potentially burn someone.

Worked as advertised. Dropped a star because it's gone through batteries unlike any other remote I've had-no clue why, but it's not a huge deal.

You get what you pay for. It works fine, but a little stiff to work.

Does the job. Works fine. Just a little bulky and cheap feeling compared to the original but you get what you pay for

Decent quality, a bit slow to send commands to apple tv.
