Everyone has a circle of friends they hang out with. But even within a small group there are smaller groups of friends, best friends and, here's where it gets complicated, boyfriends and girlfriends. Sometimes relationships just develop in a way where you're not exactly sure what you are to the other person. Which is the problem Tsukimi has when it comes to Io. Io's as tall and easygoing as Tsukimi is short in both temper and stature, but he also seems to be totally clueless about how she's starting to feel. Yet, at times, he's almost too affectionate. It's just confusing and irritating. And their prankster friends Mayoi and Sakai aren't much help. Especially Mayoi, as it gives her one more thing to tease Tsukimi over. Hime, the fifth member of their usual gang of five isn't much better, because she's not really well connected to reality anyway. Which leaves Tsukimi stuck in a quandary. Are she and Io just best friends? And is it worth risking that for what Tsukimi wants? It's a puzzle she'll have to solve as they live from one moment to the next in PLACE TO PLACE.

Acchi Kocchi!
This has to be one of my favorite animes of all time. It is absolutely hilarious and sweet; the characters are absolutely wonderful. Place to Place (Acchi Kocchi) focuses on a group of friends. Tsumiki is small, abnormally strong, and has many of the characteristics of a tsundere. She is head over heels in love with Io; everyone knows that except Io, who seems to be pretty dense when it comes to that. He seems to have some kind of special feelings for Tsumiki, but doesn't seem to realize that he does. (Not that I don't like Io. He is a sweet, thoughtful, intelligent, and talented guy). Mayoi and Sakai are loveable tricksters who bring a wonderful element of humor to the show (they often end up being used to bring some slapstick humor in as well). The main group is complete with Hime, a sweet, innocent girl that I just love to pieces. Some might complain that this doesn't have much of a plot and in a sense it doesn't; the characters are not on some quest or working towards any particular goal, but that is one of the things I love about it. I can relax when I watch it; I don't have to worry about the characters getting hurt. I can just laugh at their antics as they live their relatively normal high school lives. If you enjoyed this anime, here is a list of other anime I enjoyed and you may possibly like as well: Maid Sama, Kamisama Kiss, Fruits Basket, Special A, Skip Beat!, Cuticle Tantei Inaba, Ouran High School Host Club, Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, Okami-san and her Seven Companions, Princess Jellyfish, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, The Wallflower, Psychic Detective Yakumo, Kaze No Stigma, Earl and Fairy, Free!, Gosick, Toradora, and so on. (Warning: My taste in anime is a little eclectic, so you may not like all of them- hopefully you'll find a few treasures). If you have any questions or anime suggestions for me, feel free to comment. :)*On the product itself: I really liked this set. It came in a case the size of any normal dvd case. There are three discs with cute designs. There are English subtitles and Japanese audio. This set includes all thirteen episodes. If you enjoy the show, it is definitely worth the price.

I do not like this.
I'll almost still give an anime 5 stars on here though because I respect the work that goes into making anime/manga, but I could not finish this. Made it to episode 9 before I throw up my hands and surrendered. The characters are very cute, design AND personality. There are plenty funny and cute moments in this series. The main guy is a straight up cringe factory though. The writing in general is kinda weak. He's a total gary sue which I guess could be ok in a show like this, but idk. Also the one girl that nose bleeds 10 times an episode, that joke got old fast. The main girl is a kuudere/tsundere and is almost always acting cute. The orange hair girl is prob my favorite, love that personality type and her relationship with the blonde dude. Idk, it's not terrible but I'm obv not the shows target demographic. If you are a young girl with no dating experience (I'm not dissing, I just really think that's who they were targeting) you might enjoy this.

What does the scanner say about it's Moe level?
Seriously folks, this anime has to be the most Moe anime ever created to date. I'm not joking here, there were so many points in this anime where I was all DWAAAA~ or AWWWWW~ and even HNNNGGGGGG~ I was very sad when it came to an end, I really hope this anime gets a second season! *crosses fingers*This anime is two things. One: Comedy. Two: Momance. (Moe + Romance, clever huh?) There is no drama or darkness to this anime, if I had to use words to describe it would be Fluffy and Delightful; much like cotton candy. The comedy comes in a few forms, the top being language play, jabs, and set-ups. And unlike some comedy, you will laugh at all the funny bits.Animation was by Anime International Company, who have also done titles such as: Sora no Otoshimono: Forte, Nyan Koi!, and Ah! My Goddess. Although I would say it is more Chibi like then the usual animation they do, but not Chibi enough that I feel like I'm watching an episode of Pocket Monsters animated. If you have ever seen Lucky Star, thats what it looks like. (kinda)Surprisingly for such a light hearted and cute anime, the voice acting was quite good. The guys who played Io (Nobuhiko Okamoto) really worked as a heart throb voice. His voice seemed to parallel Tsumiki's (Rumi Okubo) voice perfectly. This anime also has re-playability, much like seitokai yakuindomo or seitokai no ichizon.Acchi Kocchi gets a 8.9 out of 10

A show that...
You know has a tremendous manga, just from watching episodes. But you don't have to read the manga to enjoy this. This is one of the most enjoyable and silly shows you'll likely see in anime. The characters support each other very well and the comedy they create is fantastic. Some of the gags are rather old ones seen in anime but for some reason this show makes them funny again. The one fault with this show is it doesn't go into the backstory for Tsukimi. You see it in the opening theme and it shows that she isn't really human anymore but you will wonder about her and it just won't be answered. Turning to the manga is likely the remedy to this. But again, you don't need to read it to enjoy this. This is a slice of life comedy where each episode pretty much stands on it's own. The story feels like it takes place in the middle of where the grand story is in the manga but it is not hard to pick up or get into. You get to know the characters easily.Overall there is a lot to enjoy in Place to Place. You'll have some questions but you don't feel like it is hurting the show by them not really answering them. Its just an endearing, silly, and cute little series. Check it out!

Great series!
Place to Place is a sitcom, Japanese style! This series follows the lives of 5 teens:-Tsumiki: the main female protagonist, who likes the male protagonist, but is too embarrassed to tell him. Her antics both in trying to confess her feelings and in hiding them are hilarious.-Io: the male lead. He is kind, but he totally misunderstands when the girls flirt with him, this causes more hilarity. He is the straight man of the group.-Mayoi: the crazy scientist of the group. Unfortunately, her inventions frequently work and this causes major trouble for the group. She loves to tease Tsumiki and watch her reaction. She teams up often with Sakaki to cause even further trouble.-Sakaki: Mayoi's partner in mischief. He always has a plan to have fun, but frequently it would backfire on him and cause hilarity.-Hime: the innocent girl, who is always caught up inadvertently by Sakaki and Mayoi's plans. She always tries to help but because she clumsy, it never pans out and causes even more trouble. And that rounds up the main characters! Their daily life are filled with antics that will make most people chuckle. The characters in the series are all very likable and sympathetic. So you feel invested in their lives, even when it really gets wacky! The art style is very cute. So it rhythms well with the tone of the series, making each events even funnier. Each situation is different so there is no recycling of the jokes. Also, it is 13 episodes series, which means that you can watch it all in one sitting. And the fact it is not violent at all is a refreshing change from the common anime releases. The problems of this release are:1. No dubbing. I wondered how some jokes would have turned out had it been dubbed... Also, if you are distracted for a time, you might miss the joke.2. It is in DVD format, I would have love to have a blu-ray version. But this is nitpicking. So this series is a winner. Except for a few points I have found "Place to Place" to be great anime!

A Great Series!
'Place To Place' (known as 'Here and There' (Atchi Kotchi) in the original Japanese) reminded me in some ways of 'Lucky Star'; the main character Tsumiki Miniwa being a dead ringer for Konata Izumi, the main character from the latter series. The story revolves around the diminutive Tsumiki ('Miki-chan'), who has a massive trade-mark 'cowlick' (known in Japanese as 'Ahoge'; literally 'stupid hair') on her forehead, and her unrequited love for her by now very tall childhood friend Io Otonashi, who is kind and gentle, and very fond of 'Mimiwa', as he calls Tsumiki, but totally clueless of the fact that she is in love with him; his friends (who all seem to know about Miki-chan's feelings for him) refer to him as 'dense'. He cares greatly about her, and sees her almost as a little sister (even regularly patting her on the head, which causes her to grow 'neko-mimi' cat ears and a tail, as seen in the cover picture!), but not as a love interest. Tsumiki spends her time trying to drop him the hint, usually without success; however, sometimes his reactions to her can appear to be romantically inclined, which just causes more confusion for her!Anyway, a great story, which I felt needed to be longer; it was kind of inconclusive, but very cute and adorable, and Tsumiki is just great, being cute and rather 'tsundere' in character; she is very strong, given her diminutive stature, and not averse to battering her girl-friends when they embarrass her in front of Io, who, of course, still never seems to catch on!Picture and sound are fine, and the music is cute; overall, well worth seeing!
