It's good.
Edges are clean. Surface is well-polished. Size matches description. Shine a light at it and a rainbow pops out.I have it on a windowsill so that a rainbow-colored stripe tracks across the room all day.

Doesn't work
I don't know why other people have posted positive reviews of this product; it simply doesn't work. I had a prism when I was younger that actually created a rainbow, which was visible to the eye. Imagine that! This creates the tiniest fractal of a prism imaginable, but mostly just reflects white light. I was planning on using this to teach about the visible spectrum, but as this tool is useless I am returning it.

I was expecting a kit that teaches moreover a prism in a box. The box also has foreign writing which ruins it for me. Misleading.

Crystal Prism, very pretty
Refracts light really well, is pretty, and the box is nice and padded. Great science project.

I definitely think they should make it clear that two ...
I definitely think they should make it clear that two of the five sides are not trans parent and are completely frosted from being cut and not polished.

A fun cute gift for a science aficionado.
A fun cute gift for a science aficionado. The glass is heavy and feels good in the hand. The box is cute but very lightweight with a plastic insert. It definitely gives you the spectrum!

Great for Beautiful Pictures. Rainbow Dogs!
I purchased this to use in my photography and have found it very useful. By angling the prism so that the rainbow reflects onto my subject I have gotten a few very good images. The rainbow is very bright and colorful. Another fun trick using this prism is to line up your shot and focus on your subject then slowly lower the prism directly over the lense so that it mildly blurs the image or marries it with a reflection caught on the opposite side of the prism. It is also very pretty sitting on the shelf as a decorative item. Would recommend!

Amazing for Photography
Great For photography!!! It’s a little difficult to figure out at first, but afterwards the shots are incredible. The secret I’ve figured out is have a flat side of the prism face the sun and the opposite edge facing your subject. This will cast a very vivid rainbow
