Polished Bone Saddle - Fits Many Taylor® Guitars - Wave Style Compensation

Installation was a snap - the saddle was exactly the same height-width-depth, and nearly the same wave shape as the factory one. It fit my 814CE bridge perfectly with no fitting required. Good color match to the factory micarta saddle, must be bleached bone. It sounds like a bone saddle should - more volume, overtones, sustain, and a slight mid-push. The sound has more girth. I am also using bone bridge pins, which accentuates these qualities. My Taylor's tone has moved towards the Martin sound with these drop-in mods. I like this bone saddle for gentle finger picking. Overtones are richer now, but still not overpowering. Bone definitely improved strumming tone - the guitar really roars now. I have left the factory TUSQ nut unchanged, since it works great, and the tone is pretty much where I want it to be. The next thing to do is to try it on an amplifier, to see if the pickups are still balanced across all 6 strings, but there's an adjustment for that if necessary. Currently using D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze light top / medium bottom strings. I will try some Elixir HD Lights at next string change, but they should be very similar to the EJ19. Other strings I have liked on this guitar include D'Addario EJ16 and John Pearse 600L Phosphor Bronze Lights.

Seems as good as Bob's.
