StreetSmart Code Encryptor II Kit

I purchased this item because I wanted a couple of extra key fobs to set alarm and open garage door. I mustn't have been paying much attention because I thought I was only order the 2 fobs but it arrived with the receiver and the red light and cover. I already have all of that stuff ... but this is a bonus as now I have a backup in case anything ever goes wrong with my original receiver. Anyway, it was super easy to program. I just pushing in the teeeeny-tiny little black button on the bottom of the receiver and then pushed the big button the the remote three time. Voilà ... was pleased to find that the garage door opened and I could arm and disarm my alarm system. Things usually don't go this smoothly with electronics ... so when they do, it is cause for doing 'the happy dance'. :-) I would definitely recommend this product.

The set-up to work with my existing DSC Power 832 and 5010 systems was quick and easy. The "learn transmitter" directions worked perfectly. The only reason for not rating at 5 stars is the range of the transmitters. If you are transmitting through a couple of walls, the signal may or may not make it, and unless you have an audible "chirp" for arming & disarming, you don't know if it has actually armed or disarmed the system. Nevertheless, with that limitation, it's a convenient addition to an alarm system.

Product works great with my Ademco system along with my garage door opener. Extremely easy to install.
