SD / SDHC to CF type II adapter support 8GB 16GB 32GB for PDA/Pocket PC/Professional DSLR Digital SLR Camera

The first batch (4ea) had two of the adapters that were bad. The second batch of these adapters I bought also had two non working adapters. Seems silly to go buy something a second time when the first time was disappointing. Consider this before any conclusions are drawn. The first time I was stuck with the two bad adapters because I was not around to return them. The second time I was around and I could test the adapters and the two adapters that failed were returned. I needed four adapters total. I finally got the four I needed. I was happy, mostly. The adapters arrived quickly. The surprising part was Amazon took the two adapters from the second shipment and refunded the money I had paid. Can you ask for more? The four stars is because the working adapters are the only ones on the market that I could locate for the price that worked with up to 32gb SDHC cards and it took two tries to get the working quantity that I wanted. So, I guess that I would buy them again only if I were in town because I would be expecting a 50% yield on the quantity that I ordered and the other 50% would have to be shipped back. At least Amazon provides a "free" shipping return process.

- The SD slot is friction fit (push/pull). If your SD card does not have a small groove on the end opposite the contacts it will be difficult to pull out. Mini/microSD adapters do not have this groove and are difficult to remove.* The SD card goes in the side of the device. You must remove the CF adapter to swap the SD device.- This adapter does not have the raised groove opposite the CF socket. If your device does not have a CF eject button and the CF card does not stick out -- you will have extreme difficulty pulling this adapter out of your device.+ Works with all my SD/SDHC cards (tested 16G)+ Seems fast (tested Class 4, with USB, DMA reader)* Works in my iPaq Pocket PC. The ipaq does not work with SDHC cards but does work with large CF cards. Ungortunately, this adapter is extremely difficult to remove (inserts flush, no eject button).* The CF slot in very old devices may not handle more than 2G. I have a 15 year old, 4 megapixel camera that does not.

My printer came with a slot for a CF card, with the idea that you could put the card in and print your photos directly, but you can also share the card out (via SMB/CIFS), and that's what I use it for. I could get a cheaper SD card and use it with this adapter and it was cheaper than a CF card.

I got this to use with the Canon 7D which only uses CF. It seems to work fine with a 32GB SDHC by Patriot. Video recording seems to be ok too. It is a blessing to be able to use SDHC cards that I have around instead of buying more CF.

so far these work great, fast reliable. Should have bought them a long time ago... so nice to use SD cards now for all my cameras. I use them in my Canon 30d and 7d.

Works great with Canon DSLR's, but would not fit Nikon DSLR body. The adapter would not fit inside CF card slot on Nikon. I recommend for Canon users only.

Beware if you are buying this adapter for use with a Canon 7D as I was. This SD/SDHC CF Card Adapter is unfortunately too large to fit into the Canon 7D body! Luckily it wasn't too expensive or I would be much more frustrated that I now have a generally worthless adapter in my possession. Consider yourself warned.

Anyone who own's a camera that can only use CF Cards,I strongly recommend you go out and get two of these to make your shooting a lot easier.Joe from St. Louis
