SpeedAir Air Compressor Tire Inflator – Multi-Function 12V Air Compressor Great for Vehicle and Bike Tires, Toys, Inflatable Rafts, Air Mats, and Balls

Needed a home compressor because I hate using the gas station to fill my tires. Today I opened it up, Looked nice. Comes with a bag and the necessary items. Seems like a good buy. I read the instructions, simple to use. Filled up one tire to 40 PSI from 24 PSI. Yes, my tires were low hence the need to purchase this. Removed the nozzle from tire one, turned off device, but it was still plugged in since I was moving to tire #2. Sat it on the floor while I went to the bathroom (literally 1 minute) and I walked into the garage and heard a loud POP (explosion). I thought it was my tire, until I saw the smoke coming out of the compressor. I thought maybe it's the fuse but the pop was very loud I doubted it. Looked very closely at the fuse, seemed fine. Smelled the device for burn, yeah smelled like the compressor blew. Checked my wall GFI it was connected to, that wasn't tripped. Decided to turn it all back on just in case it was fine and the explosion didn't mean it was broken. It came on for 1 second then fizzled. Broken. So this gets returned as garbage after filling up just one tire. Luckily I didn't use this roadside. I can't recommend this unit based on my experience. I give it two stars because it did fill up one tire well and comes in a well-designed package. Maybe I just got a bad unit.

Convenient and compact. However, takes a long time to inflate tire. I hook up and let it run for 10-15 minutes just to add 10# to car tire. After about 5 uses, the plug that attaches to the unit to the AC/DC outlet overheated and melted. Now it is unusable. Would not purchase again, and now not eligible for return or refund.Update 1/22/17 - I was unable to return the item because I had purchased over six months ago. However, I contacted customer service and told them of the problem. They were FANTASTIC.. They simply asked for order number, apologized for faulty product and sent a replacement. I applaud them for stadning behind their product and doing the right thing.

I loved this air compressor when I first received it...It was just what I had been looking for. An air compressor that has AC/DC that I could use in my garage and plug into an outlet and inflate my bicycle tires, rather than get my car keys and open up my car to use, but with the ability to take with me and plug into my car. Then the AC portion of the compressor stopped working. Disappointment set in... I emailed the company LowerPriceUSA that sells the compressor on Amazon about the problem. I assumed they would tell me that I was out of luck... But I was wrong. The response to my email came just hours after I sent it. They were very apologetic and offered a replacement at no cost and had it to my front door in 2 days. Thank you LowerPriceUSA!

Handy little device. I've used this twice now since I've bought it. Once to inflate my car tires, and the other time to inflate my motorcycle tires. Both times it has worked beautifully. The gauge is vert accurate and everything comes neatly packed in a bag. The portability is great, I have it stored in the trunk of my car hoping I never have to use it on the road, but knowing that if needed it will do it's job. The only critique I have (for the sake of giving one) is that it's a bit noisy when operating, especially if it's being used indoors. However, I'll gladly take that problem over a non-funtional device. All in all a neat little device to own for those unexpected emergencies. I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to others or buying it again.

ADDENDUM.. THE COMPANY CONTACTED ME BASED ON MY REVIEW.Wanted to send me a replacement. In TURN, change or delete my review. I told them the only way I would change my review, is if my NEW FREE replacement would turn out to be a good one. I guess I didn't play along their rules. 2 weeks. No replacement.Here is my Review!!THIS IS NOT a review based on receiving a free product like the rest of the reviews seem to be.I purchased this product with REAL MONEY.This is a piece of junk. I wont be replacing it. I used it for about 10 minutes airing up an inner tube for floating. I was using the A/C portion of it.I stopped it, change out Tips, started it. all I got was a loud humming sound. No Pump. waited an HOUR.. just got a loud humming sound. Put it back in box, and am now returning it prepaid by Amazon (thank you Amazon, you should look into this product though, its junk).Never did get to test the gauge or DC portion. Good luck if you plan on purchasing anyway. Maybe I just got a "lemon". Maybe not.

I ordered this because it was supposed to fill larger tires relatively quickly and the hose attaches to the valve stem so that you do not have to hold it by hand while filling your tire.The tire nozzle does attach to the valve stem well.However,the compressor is very slow to fill a larger tire, such as for a pickup truck.Also this is a very poor design. The vibration from running the compressor causes the power cord to fall out of the socket shown in the picture. This means that you have to kneel there and hold it in to run properly. I returned it.Don't buy this.

1. Pressure gauge is askew - out of place in its mount. Package was undamaged. Seems to work OK.2. Requires a minimum 15amp to use in car. Check your car's owners manual. My Subaru's 12volt instrument panel cigarette lighter is a 10 amp circuit, but in the center console there is a 20 amp accessory outlet. Found out the hard way.

I gave this a very favorable review earlier, but after having it about three months I'm changing my review. In my review, I cited the fact that you can use it on AC power as well as your car's lighter receptical. However, the AC feature has stopped working, and replacing the fuse didn't fix the problem. Although it still works fine on DC power, the dual power feature was the main reason I picked this model. So I'm disappointed. But I can't find any warranty, and it still works great on DC power (like the old compressor I replaced with it) so I probably won't return it.
