Exceptional quality and pretty versatile.
The Prosea SL01S 6’ long leash is my second leash in this style and I like it! To be completely transparent and honesty, I purchased this lease to use as a paddle leash for my sit-on-top kayak. I have been looking for a reasonably priced kayaking paddle leash. This works pretty well for that. As I am using this for something other than the seller or manufacturer intended, I am going to review it as a paddle leash (My use) to show its versatility! I will still review its strength, durability, and quality below.Packaging and Set-up:This 6 foot straight and flexible leash came packaged exceptionally well to prevent any type of shipping damage. It arrived in perfect shape and was immediately ready to use. It is a very strait-forward product, regardless of what you are using it for. For my purposes, it was very simple to set up. Again, I am using this as a kayak paddle leash. I looped the string end around the paddle and pulled it tight. I attached the hook and loop nylon cuff to my wrist and it was very comfortable and secure. As with most leashes, there is a fabric loop on the cuff. So, I intend to run a carabiner through that and the carabiner to one of the attached rings on my kayak. As I mentioned, this goes well beyond the realm of its intended purpose. However, it still works pretty well as a paddle lease.Materials and Durability:This leash is VERY well made with top tier quality in mind. The nylon cuff is very strong and the Velcro is EXTREMELY tough. The copper swivels seem to be at least as strong as the swivels on my other leash, maybe even stronger. None of the connections really had any give when I was puling pretty hard on this product! I don’t really have any concern with the durability here. In normal usage circumstances, I expect this product to hold up for a while.Usage:As I mentioned above, I am not using this as a surf board leash. I am currently using this as a paddle leash on our family’s kayaks. The seller states that this would work for both long boards and short boards. Throw in Kayak Paddle Leash, and that makes this SUPER versatile. I have no doubt that it will work incredibly well as a board leash. For my purposes, straight cable is a little cumbersome, but I am willing to deal with that.Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with the durability and versatility of this leash. It should hold up to normal wear and tear and is listed at a pretty competitive price point. If you need a quality leash for reasonable $$, look no further.Pros:- Made of substantial and durable materials- Very comfortable cuff- Design makes it versatileCons:- None that I have really noticed yet.Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount for an honest and thorough review. My opinions are fully my own and are in no way influenced by the seller or manufacturer. I am not rewarded or encouraged to give a positive review nor am I punished for a negative review. I value integrity and honesty as a consumer and appreciate the importance of these reviews.

It broke early
The second session I used this leash it broke, and no at the connection with the leg velcro where most break but mid-rope. I definitely recommend Prosea's fins, but I would steer away from the leash.

The only limit is your imagination
This is not just for surfing, this is not just for anything. Sure, you can tie it to your board, I've done that, but it can do so much more. Tie it to anything that floats or doesn't float, but anything that you need to connect to either your wrist or ankle and not get away, and that is pretty much everything you can think of, except your children, don't do that. Tie it to a a pool float, or one of those doughnut floats for taking lazy floats down rivers, tie it to a paddle, or a boogie board, any of those things. But you don't really even have to tie it to your body. I have tied the cooler to the boat with one of these, cause you never know when you may hit a wave and have to fish that thing back out of the drink. I keep my jump bag, a bag packed with first aid supplies that I keep in the cargo bay of my SUV, tied down with one of these, its a quick release, and if I am not going far, I don't have to release it at all. Perfect!. It is just the very nature of just ends being velcro like they are, and one end being padded means the choices are absolutely endless. The padded end is thick and comfortable, wearing it on your wrist or ankle hardly seems like wearing anything at all, and the length of the leash is long enough to give you room to move, but not so long that you get tangled in it. I've worn my jump bag on my back, this guy connected to my wrist, and on an accident scene as I moved between patients, just pulled my bag and it came right along. The other strap, on the board side, is large enough to connect to your board of course, but to many other things as well, and a very secure strap. The whole thing is just so very well constructed. So versatile and limitless. Buy it for your board, do with it what you will!I received with product free or at a discount in exchange for an honest and accurate review.

Great product!
I love the Prosea Surfboard Leash!- The neoprene cuff if super comfortable against the skin. I like the cushioning it provides and that it does not cut into you.- The Velcro on the cuff is super strong and will not come off once you strap it on. I like that there is a nylon tab pull to help open up the cuff. It is easy to attach to your body.- The swivel assembly at both ends of the leash (linked to the cuff and the other linked to the rail saver) works a super high quality and functions great! I love that it does not impede your movements and adjusts to you.- The POLYURETHANE cord is quality and will last a long time.- The rail saver Velcro is also super strong and will not come off once you strap it to your board. Also it is easy to attach to your board.- I am thinking of using this not just for my Stand-Up Paddle board but also on a surfboard, body board, and even on floaties (to ensure they do not float away).Overall I think the Prosea Surfboard Leash is a great product that will last for a long time. I would recommend purchasing this quality product.I received this product at a discount for my honest review.
