Wrong software
This item came as Vaas Mobile Vhs to Dvd but the software supplied with the device was for Honestech. Needless to say it does't work! E-Mailed Honestech they said I have the wrong software for my device. Tried Vaas Mobile no support what so ever. Out $50 bucks DONOT BUY THIS ITEM NO SUPPORT!!!!!

Disaster
Despite the picture of the Mac it only works with PCs. I had an old one and got it loaded but the system is not as simple as it sounds and I ended up buying a magnavox recorder. It, by the way, worked brilliantly.

Does the Job
This product does he job however it is not the most easiest thing to use. Also this does not let you RESTORE he color portion it asks you for an upgrade. Overall it does exactly what is suppose to and that's to transfer you old VHS TAPES to DVD.

Works as advertised, easy enough to use.
I bought this item to get rid of boxes of old VHS tapes. Comes complete with hardware and software. All you need is a VHS player with red-white-yellow output (I think most of them have it). Had it hooked up in two minutes.Product software has two modes:1. Easy Wizard mode2. Advanced modeEasy Wizard allows burning DVDs right to discs, no frills. Advanced Mode has great features. Only negative is you have to dig down for ways to do advanced editing - titles, credits etc.I had not counted on reliving all the memories on my dusty VHS tapes. Loved it.

Great Product!
Got this to convert old movies to DVD. Works great, simple to use. There are a lot of features that I have not even used yet but worked great on converting my daughter's wedding video. You do need access to have a VHS player or something to be able to play your old recordings from. Did a good job and decent quality and like I said I haven't even tried a lot of the features. The instructions were pretty simple to use and were no issues and was actually quick. came with a rca cable which was cool added surprise... theres no 4.5 star option so ill just give a 5. :)

Didn't work for us.
The product would not work. We followed the directions and we were unable to use it. We never were able to move our family videos from old VHS to DVD.

Slightly Misleading
I was reading the reviews on this and they are from 5 to 1 which you can expect for pretty much any product. Looked like the 1 ratings were more operator error... maybe not. Bottom line, I decided to NOT buy this product due to the misleading picture. The picture shows this item connected to a MacBook Pro which is what I would use the product on, but the specs say it works only with Windows. I have a windows laptop and would be open to using it to convert my VHS to Digital, but figured if they couldn't get the marketing picture right what other things might they get wrong.

Works Great, UNLESS...
Works great unless you have a 64-bit system.I could get audio, but no video - tried everything in the world, then found a couple of comments on line that said it will not work with a 64-bit system. So, I plugged it into another computer (a 32-bit one), and it worked fine.Video quality isn't that great, but these are old tapes and that may just be the best those tapes can put out.
