Little Lava Lamp Look-alike is a Loser...
I was excited about this sharpener...that is, until I opened it only to discover that it had leaked inside of the packaging. Got our money back, and have now vowed to not mess with pencil sharpeners that Greg Brady would've loved.Addendum, 9/14/11: Packaging nor sharpener was damaged in any way...I believe that this sharpener is not totally leak proof due to unflush seams in the plastic. Not a bad design, just not foolproof, nor groovy.

Lava Lamp--I meant sharpner!
Meeeeh my son wanted another for school this year after trading his last year, all was fine until sharpner needed emptying seemed lid is fused and cannot be removed to empty scraps. I ordered a (third) replacement. Third one works great! He loves his lava lam--sharpner! Not sure if company sent a replacement or if I reordered and paid for it...will look into that and update!

Works well, cute
Unlike another reviewer, mine has no leaks. The lava liquid is cute. Most importantly, it sharpens pencils well for its size and price point.
