I bought several of these neck rests for the technicians in our guitar workshop after they asked for them specifically. They spend all day carrying out setups, restrings and repairs, so they know what works and what doesn't. Despite being such a simple product, it makes a noticeable difference. The neck is held securely while leaving both hands free to work, whether you're changing strings, adjusting the truss rod, polishing frets or working on the electronics. The support is firm without being so hard that you'd worry about marking the neck. The dual-height design is particularly useful as it works well with a variety of instruments, from electric guitars to acoustics and basses, and the material has enough grip to stop the instrument moving around on the bench. These have now become a permanent fixture in our workshop and have stood up well to constant daily use. For such an inexpensive tool, they make maintenance more comfortable and efficient, and they're excellent value for money. If the technicians who use them every day specifically requested them, that's recommendation enough for me.

Love this thing. Does exactly what you would expect it to do. Light and sturdy. Two heights on offer. Neck feels safe and secure. Won't mark the neck. Excellent. Stick it there and just get on with the job. However, you might find it gets stuck in its cardboard box, and then it's tricky to get it out again. But once it's out, it's a winner. Recommended for any guitar related maintenance you might end up doing. I used it with a small Jim Dunlop guitar mat and have no complaints.

This isn’t the most expensive guitar neck support, but it’s very good quality and does exactly what it should. The support is made of compressed cork, which is cushioning but firm to the touch. There are 2 usable sides, of different heights. One for electric guitars. The other for acoustic. They hold the guitar securely to allow you to work on it. It’s likely that the cork will not last as long as some of the plastic ones, but they will be less likely to cause scratches, have nothing to come unstuck or detached and will almost certainly have a lifespan lasting a decade or more with my level of usage

Not too much to say about this, it's a well-shaped block of cork. It is useful to for working on guitars on a desk. The two heights are handy, so it can be used for deeper-bodied acoustic guitars as well as slim electric guitars. It felt sturdy enough when in use, but do remember it is light, so will not 'anchor' the guitar in any way. It was little bit dusty, but that can be expected due to the material - I opted to keep it in its box when not in use. I felt it was a little overpriced for what it is, but it was as described and I'm happy with my purchase.

One of those invaluable accessories which makes life a lot easier! Ideal for supporting the neck of your instrument and leaving both hands free while you make adjustments to the setup, change strings and so on. Additionally it raises the machine heads above the level of your sofa or bed thus avoiding leaving oily stains on your furniture! The cork is an ideal material to support the neck of your treasured instrument, supporting it but smooth and soft enough not to cause physical damage. If necessary you can raise the height of the support by putting a book or wooden block underneath.

This neck support is ideal for doing any work on a guitar, whether it`s a restring or making some adjustments. Cork is a sturdy, soft and light material, which supports and won`t damage your guitar neck.. The support can be used two ways, ostensibly for electric or acoustic guitars. Even the box is handy for storing removed screws and parts while working. Very satisfied with this, as the neck cut-out is plenty big enough that the neck will stay supported. If you`re working on the back of the guitar, the neck is still supported, though at the edges instead of the middle but it still works. I wish I`d bought one years ago.

Depending on the guitar or what part of the neck you’re working on, you can flip it to get a better angle and more comfortable access. It worked great on both electric and acoustic setups. What I appreciate most is the stability—it holds the neck in place without wobble, which makes things like string changes, cleaning, or setup work much easier and safer. It’s also lightweight and compact, so it’s easy to store or toss in a gig bag or tool kit. There’s nothing flashy about it, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and it is versatile. I love this block. I use it for my violin so it can take a nap like a princess. It's the perfect height if there is a shoulder rest attached. It is light, sturdy, high quality. If you have a viola then don't get this because it it too nice for a viola, maybe use a crumpled up piece of viola sheet music instead. But for violin, would highly recommend.
