It Big, Make the Best Popcorn Love it.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a quality product. I've read some reviews that are critical of this popper but I don't have any complaints. It's heavy and it came well-packed. It took only a few minutes to get it put together and operating. Recommend cleaning the pot before installing it. It took a couple of batches to get it perfected. With this, I bought the Flavanol, the Dutchman's Buttery Coconut Oil, and the 8-pound jug of Orville Redenbacher's Original popcorn.The result was great flavor popcorn and it popped very fast. But I have to tell you, the Orville Redenbacher brand was less than desirable. While the great taste was a function of the popper, oil and Flavanol, the popcorn itself was tough and chewy and not at all like theater corn. I had heard before that Amazon food products can be awfully old and I think this is the case. I ordered some Pop Weaver Gold popcorn from another source to replace the Orville Redenbacher even though I have a bunch of it left. If the results are the same, I'll amend this review and remove the opinion of the Orville Redenbacher.As for cleaning, it's pretty simple and straightforward. As others have said, watch your fingers because there are some sharp edges to the metal but a damp paper towel followed by a dry one is about all you need. The 'old maid' tray below is great for keeping unpopped kernels out of your bag. I do have a few popped kernel pieces wedged between the glass and metal along the bottom but a toothpick would easily take care of those crumbs.

I spent way too much time researching popcorn machines. The all seem very similar and around the same price so wasn't sure what, if any, differences there are. Ended up buying this model since it seemed to have everything I wanted at a good price. Setup only took a few minutes. There was one tiny dent from shipping but was able to pop it out and can't even remember where it is now. We bought in July of 2021 and use this about once a week and clean it about every 3 or 4 uses as well as a thorough cleaning every few months. It's now March of 2022 and we've had zero issues with it. I will say the first 3 or 4 batches didn't taste so great; not sure if that was just things breaking in or my inexperience but after a few batches everything tastes great and has stayed that way. No visible rust anywhere, not noisy, and makes really good popcorn. I bought the version without the stand and bought my own table separately. Overall would recommend this to anyone wanting to make some popcorn at home.

Assembly is pretty straightforward. I did it myself, and I'm generally pretty useless at DIY stuff. I struggle with most IKEA furniture but got everything together in just over an hour.The quality is good, nothing mind blowing but didn't notice anything that stood out as being cheap or flimsy. I do like the look of it in my living room / movie watching area.Making popcorn is easy, instructions are easy to follow. Cleaning isn't too bad either, I generally just give it a scrub down and wash the pot separately by hand.I've used it maybe ~30 times without any issues. Down the line if anything breaks down I'll leave a review of the process for getting replacements, but so far hasn't been necessary.Only con and something I'd consider in the future is it'd be nice if it had a larger pot. Makes plenty of popcorn for two, but if I have guests or want to have extra for later that means extra batches.If anyone is curious here is how I make the super unhealthy movie theater style popcorn:Add 1/2 cup popcorn flavored oil to bottom of pot with 3-4 kernals (turn on pot heater)When it heats up, you'll see some visible steam and hear the kernals popThen I add 1/2 cup kernels, along with 0.5 - 1 teaspoon flavicol to taste (turn on stirrer)The popcorn will bubble over the sides of the pot, once no more kernals have popped for 5-10 seconds I tilt the pot over to get any remaining popcorn out. Then turn off the stirrer and pot heater.

The pros:Makes great popcorn.the pre packaged popcorn is convenient and priced well.this machine looks cool, the black top fits well with (home) bars and movie theaters ... maybe even a tattoo shop.The cons:clean up, this machine takes some effort to get clean.the glass on the sides and back fit into an aluminum channel that fills up with little bits of popcorn, and is incredibly difficult to scrape out.lots of sharp edges, be careful when cleaning.the "dump" handle on the kettle disintegrated after a couple years.sometimes a kernel will pop under the stirrer, and it will burn. this can ruin a whole batch.

My whole family loves it

My Mom had a full size version popcorn maker. Since she made popcorn every time the grandkids came over we wanted to gift the kids with a version that would fit in our kitchen. This popcorn maker works just as well as the full size version and the popcorn was delicious. None of these popcorn makers are too easy to clean but this one was no harder to clean than a full size. Big enough to make popcorn for the whole family. Very pleased with how this worked and a good value for my money.

I was right.As soon as I pulled this out of the box, I was impressed! The quality and the material used is top notch. This machine is all glass and stainless steel. Quite heavy too! Very easy to use and very fast. We had fresh popcorn in minutes. Tasted amazing too! Definitely recommend this if you love that theater popcorn!Update: 5 years later and this machine is still holding up as the first day I bought it. Definitely recommend this machine. It’s survived 3 big moves from Illinois to Florida, back to Illinois, and once again back to Florida. Very sturdy machine, nothing has failed or broken on the machine. The paint on it still looks like new. My kids love watching it make popcorn.
