WOW.
Years ago I enjoyed Tamiya models because of the detail, but I stopped all of that long ago. There was lots of painting and extra stuff to get it just right. I recently discovered this LEGO Technic GT3, and the old vibe was stirred. I am blown away by this achievement by LEGO. It is magnificent. If you have any inking for detail and models, this is money well spent. I already purchased the Bugatti, such is my respect for the quality and commitment necessary to make a model like this commercial. When I opened the box I was stunned by how polished and sensible the packaging. It is nice just looking at how the contents boxed, no kidding. There is a box for four stages + tires, so each box coincides with that section of assembly. The manual is superb. All pieces were there, but I did have a scare in box three. I could not find a small clear single tab used for the rear lights, and thankfully there was an extra one in box four. I will try to attach some pictures, but it is difficult to relay the detail. For example, the model has pistons that move, but they disappear with continued assembly. The drive train is impressive and works. The steering works. The suspension is with springs and works and hopefully my one picture is enough to show it. This is top shelf, and I will keep an eye out for what LEGO doing next. I am not one that normally does LEGO, so I am happy to be onboard. Well done. For whatever reason my attachments are not showing even though they appear to attach all of which are under 100KB. Looking at other pictures, however, the detail is already posted.

Piece missing but still a great addition to my Lego set and by far my most favorite
Just to give you a little background on my Lego experience, prior to purchasing this set, I had built the Batman Tumbler (discontinued) and the Star Wars X-Wing (discontinued). I found the Tumbler to be moderately difficult as it was my first Lego set and it took a little time for me to understand the Lego blueprints. The Star Wars X-Wing was very easy in comparison. When I received the Porsche 911, I decided that I was going to take my time and enjoy building the set instead of making a mad dash to finish it quickly. The experience was quite enjoyable and I recommend anyone who is considering this item to definitely get it! You will not be disappointed! I'd like to point out for all you considering this purchase to read up on the gear issues prior to assembling the Lego. If you don't, you'll find that the gears do not work, which is not a big issue if you're going to keep it as an display item. I currently own 4 Lego sets, my fourth one being the newest Millennium Falcon and the Porsche 911 is by far my most favorite!I contacted Amazon and they were willing to send me a new piece, but I decided to do it through Lego instead. They sent the piece to me at no additional cost. As mentioned before, the biggest issue was the wait and receiving an incomplete Lego set. I still rate this as 5 stars because the Porsche 911 GT3 is just that great.

Ultimate Lego build
I am a newbie to Lego and wanted a challenge. I did a couple of the small Architecture sets before tackling this. I know nothing about cars. But the directions were good enough that I managed to complete this with only a few missteps and episodes of frustration. The build was very absorbing and satisfying, and I am enjoying displaying the model on my desk at work and showing it to people.I've discovered, though, that this set pretty much spoiled me. There are Lego sets with more pieces, but I can't find any that are more complex. There is very little redundancy and everything has to work together. The piece count does not include minifigures or little extras.Overall I heartily recommend this for anyone who loves Legos, cars, or complicated projects requiring manual dexterity. Be aware that it takes concentration and attention to detail.

Much worse experice than assemble a Gundam.
It is a painful process reading the manual, it is much worse experience than putting a Gundam PG together. LEGO should really learn how to effectively writing a manual. I found the design of the pieces has some loose end which is very annoying when trying to fit everything together. I was intentionally going to buy the Bugatti set after this, however, after this, I m done with LEGO.

Stunning in every way.
Just. Wow. I have been building Legos for over 35 years and I remember building some of the earliest technic sets when they came out in the 80s. I had the initial auto chassis model, and a subsequent one, among others. Never once do I remember feeling upon opening the box that I was completely overwhelmed. But let me clarify, I am overwhelmed in a good way. I am overwhelmed by the complexity of the set, the attention to detail of the set, the collaboration with Porsche, the introduction of 30+ pages in the book, and everything else about this. It is simply the most amazing construction set by any manufacturer I have ever seen. That said, if you have no idea what a Lego Technic set is, don't buy this as your first one. You will not enjoy it if you don't know what you're doing, and this one requires that you do.
