Liftbuddy

I am doing a major furniture rearrangement procedure and purchased a bunch of glides to assist in the moves. Some of the items, such as a 5-drawer lateral file cabinet, are difficult to lift in order to place the slide underneath the cabinet. I decided to give the Liftbuddy a try and placed the order. One month later the Liftbuddy was finally delivered. It is a metal lifter and does an adequate job in assisting in the placement of glides. I deducted one star because of the unreasonably long time to receive my order and because they dropped the price of the lifter after I ordered it but before I received it. They still charged me the higher price. Although I have no complaints about the lifter itself I would not do any further business with the seller, Magic Wand Company. It took Magic Wand Company over three weeks to finally decide to ship my order. On the day it was scheduled for delivery UPS lost my order. Magic Wand Company said they would ship me another one while UPS did a search. That was untruthful because they did not do what they said they would and obviously never had any intention to do so. UPS, on the other hand, was truthful, efficient, found my order and made the delivery.

This thing is very small. Because the wheels are so far from the tip, the mechanical advantage is not that great. I tried lifting the stove in the kitchen, and could barely get it to move. I was looking for something to move a hot tub, and this is not it. This can be used to move very light items that you could probably move without any additional aids. I'll update this if my opinion changes, but at present it serves no need I have or can foresee.

Lifts furniture fairly well. The edge is a bit thick so you may still have to maneuver the furniture a bit to get the Liftbuddy under it. Once you've got it, it lifts the furniture without much effort.

My Brother helped me move 2 bedroom suits, a computer hutch and desk. This was a big help in lifting the pieces enough to slip the gliders in place._

Useless for any kind of heavy lifting. Got my crowbar, wrapped it in a towel, and lifted 400 lb cabinet with one hand while leveling the feet with the other -- just as I should have done before buying this puny trifle. Gave it to my 94-year old, 95-lb mother. For her it might prove useful.

it's expensive, but it works.

This is the best think EVER! It did exactly what I'd hoped it would! It's sturdy, lifed some very very heavy furniture. Was able to lift just enough to insert some sliders under the items I needed to move!

works good, good leverage. I used it to place lifts under a couch, Haven't used the slides yet. Don Turney
