Focal Celestee
Bought these as I needed a longer cable for my new Focal Celestees, and these looked like the most reasonably priced high quality cables with a 3.5mm jack

Pleasant surprise
I wasn't sure what to expect given the variations in the reviews. So here is what I discovered and got.First I don't believe cables change sound. I was wrong about this once when I changed all the cables in my primary stereo system from Kimber Kable Select to Cardas Golden Reference. Everyone agreed including me the the sound changed for the better top to bottom - especially in the frequency spectrum. I was wrong and glad of it since this was very expensive. Now to the thin Meze 10 foot cable I just bought and listened to. Compared to the stock Denon Cable AH-D5200 it was night and day. The Meze cable opened up the sound and took off a veil I didn't know was on the stock good cable - same length and much sturdier. the Meze Cable didn't look that sturdy but I ran over it twice with my office chair by accident and no problem. Who knew. It seems very well made.It is clearly well made and the terminations are beautiful and practical. And it is NOT microphonic - no way no how - I tried all the standard stuff and some other tricks and could get not get any microphonics out of it. Great cable for the money. I recommend it if you need a long cable. I cannot comment on shorter lengths!

Perfect for modding to balanced
I bought this cable to mod for my 99 Noirs (yes, that’s why the photos have a noir filter), but before I go into that, I’ll review it as is.AS IS——————————It’s perfectly fine. Same as the stock cable, just a helluva lot longer and without the annoying inline mic/call controls hugging my face. No difference in sound quality. Hell, I think the split cable is a micrometer thinner and hangs better than the stock cable. Depending on how much cable length you need, and whether or not the inline controls annoy you on your stock cable, you might call this an upgrade. Now onto why I bought it.FOR MODDING——————————I have a Hart Audio cable for my HD6XX with 3.5mm unbalanced (3-pole) and 4.4mm balanced Pentaconn (4-pole) interconnects. I wanted one for my Noirs, but nothing fits except those super slim Meze 99 connectors. I *could* have bought the connectors here from Meze for $20, but you need special tools to seal it; so I thought I’d take a chance on the $20 cable, thinking they might use the exact same cable for their unbalanced as their balanced ($49), just with a different end connector. Woohoo! I was right. I cut the cable to the length I wanted and proceeded with the meticulous soldering! (PRO TIP: check the leads with a multimeter before and after terminating, or assume green is L+, green stripe is L-, red is R+, and red stripe is R-.) SUCCESS! Pictured is the final result. If you are confident in your soldering skills and need a balanced cable for your 99s, modding this cable is something to consider; having said that, if what you need specifically is 2.5mm, save yourself the headache and just buy the Meze cable for $49.
