I’m really impressed with these Vornado fans. I can’t say that about any other room fans I’ve ever bought, which are usually made of cheap plastic, fall apart easily, and don’t really cool the room. I bought the Vornado 630 Mid-Size Whole Room Air Circulator Fan in June 2022 (3 years ago) for my upstairs office. I live in a 1905-built house with no A/C. That fan has been going strong for 3 years. It’s relatively quiet, is incredibly sturdy, and does a stellar job of keeping me cool. Since I love the 630 so much, in June 2025, I bought the Vornado 602 Whole Room Air Circulator Pedestal Fan for my living room. I am equally impressed with this fan. It’s the perfect size, has incredible fan power, cools the room, and is sturdy. Both fans have 3 speeds, which are perfect. This is a genuine case of “you get what you pay for.” These fans are a little pricier than those cheap $20 standing fans you might buy at a big store, but they’re absolutely worth it. You won’t need to replace these every year like you have to do with the cheap ones. I’m going to buy another Vornado fan for my bedroom. I rarely review products but I feel like this company focuses on making great products, and people should know about them. They should be commended for their commitment to quality.

Reall great fan that moves the air flow in the room, and not to loud at all.

Very powerful and high quality fan! It is a bit loud, but we don’t mind the sound.

For being a rather small fan, it moves the air around my 12' x 15' room easily. I had a tower fan that just went out and needed a replacement. Because this was a fan with adjustable height, and coupled with its air moving capability, I settled on this one. I also have a slightly larger Vornado tabletop model I keep on the floor to quickly cool off my bedroom (Texas summers!) while also using the stand fan. The main reason I bought the fan was to sleep with it on at night. It reaches right where I need it to and blows enough air at me, whichever way it's aimed at me. Great fan for my needs! The only shortcoming is it's not an oscillating fan nor does it have remote. For the most part it's on most of the day and the air is constantly swirling around my room without any adjustments or settings except to turn it on and set the fan speed. Great little fan!

I cannot stand to have the ceiling fan on over my bed but need some air movement. This fan is the best solution I have found for the room. On low speed the noise level is an acceptable level of white noise for me and aimed diagonally across the room provides a good amount of circulation across the room without blowing directly on me. The air vortex concept employed by Vornado allow one to experience circulating air without having it blow directly on a person. I am a "fan" of Vornado products (sorry, LOL) and have a couple of others in the house. I recently retired a Vornado that we had used almost daily for over 20 years, so am hopeful this new one will give the same level of service.

My husband and I love this fan. You can raise or lower it. It has a lot of blowing power. Even on low at night we can feel it very well. Great fan. We actually have another one that is not on a stand. But you can feel it across our whole basement. Love these fans,

Summertime in CA. I originally bought this fan last season just in case. It had such a small footprint that I can leave in my bedroom, move to my home gym, or just box up. I pulled it out a few months ago and now that its getting hot, I can't believe how much air this thing moves on High setting. I have it by my window now and blasted it once the sun went down. Me and my dogs already feel the difference. I've tried quite a lot of fans by my window - nothing cooled my room in minutes lke this fan can do. As long as the air outside is cool, you'll feel the breeze immediately hit you and your room will cool in mins. So impressed and glad I purchased it. If air doesn't circulate in your space well, get this fan! Highly recommend!

I was so excited to finally give this fan a go and I’ve been looking at the Vornado brand for years. The main function of this fan for me is to cool my room while I sleep and to provide white noise (southern lady here- we love a noisy fan). For the price, it’s absolutely not worth it at all. On the highest level, it’s noisy enough to provide the white noise needed for restful sleep. HOWEVER- sitting on a hardwood floor, the hollow cheap plastic legs vibrate and reverberated that sound all night. It was very disruptive. There is no oscillating mode on this one, and honestly it hasn’t done much to cool the 12x12 room it’s in. Yes it provides air flow, but so do the other pedestal fans that are a fraction of the cost. Because of this unwanted noise, no oscillating function, and no significant change in air compared to past fans I’ve used, I would not recommend this one. ESPECIALLY as expensive as this is.
