Crisp Clean White Light
Bought these to upgrade the look in the refrigerator and cut down on heat. Works and looks great! Brighter than the stock ones in the fridge which are 415 lumens. I recommend and would buy again.UPDATE - installed both bulbs into a refrigerator in Nov. 2018 - 1 bulb has failed Jun. 2020 - advertisement states 20 year life with an average of 3 hours a day. I’m pretty sure my fridge door is not open 3 hours a day and even if it is it has not been 20 years yet.UPDATE # 2 - second bulb has now failed. This is ridiculous. I want my money back. I ended up putting the original incandescent bulbs that came with the fridge 7 years ago and they both work fine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE LED BULBS!!! This had been a waste of time and money. They claim 20 year life at 3 hours a day. It has been less than 2 years and we all know how many hours a day our refrigerators are open.... less than an hour a day I am sure for most people at home. I do not own a restaurant and it is just my wife and I in the house. Horrible performance out of these bulbs save your money.

Great light while it lasts
I bought a pair of these bulbs for our 25 cu. ft. refrigerator. First the good news: 1) They are nice and bright, much brighter than the incandescent lights that came with the 'fridge. 2) They run nice and cool. I have absolutely no qualms about placing tall items near -- or almost touching -- the lights. 3) The light color is much whiter than traditional bulbs. You may or may not like this. (I do.)Now the bad news. One of the bulbs has started to flicker noticeably, which usually means that an LED bulb is on its way out. We installed the bulbs in Sep. 2018; it's now Jun. 2019 -- about 9 months. There are only my wife and I using the 'fridge; I doubt that the door is open even 1 hour/day. I'll be generous and say that the bulb is failing at 275 hours, far less than I would expect out of any bulb technology, especially an LED lamp.

Definitely a great buy, which I would do all over again...
I did not buy these to install inside a refrigerator or freezer. Rather I bought them for the overhead fan hood over the stove. Why? Because I don't like the incandescent appliance bulbs that the installer inserted - the "warm" color of the incandescent bulb's light is unpleasant to me. These Grimaldi LED bulbs are Cool White, which is what ALL my preferred lighting in the house is. Now, the 2 incandescent bulbs were 40 watt each. These 2 LED bulbs are only 3 watts each. Yet, regardless of that, they give me all the light I need over the stove. (I think it's because my eyes simply see better with Cool White light) The other advantage because they are so low in wattage, is that I can use this light as a 'night light', which is a nice feature being as LED's last SO much longer than incandescent.)

Tip for (some?) Samsung french door fridges!
Only just installed them in a Samsung fridge, but I appreciate the daylight color and that they don't generate 60W of heat... Anyway when I got them I thought they were defective as they didn't work in the fridge sockets, but worked in others. As it turns out, the taper of the bulb is a bit wider than the standard bulbs and the plastic housing was preventing it from being screwed in all the way to the base contact. If this happens, hopefully you can do as I did and bend the copper base terminal in the socket outward so that it makes contact. Will report back in ~3mo as a few have suggested longevity issues.

Suggestion of extremely short lifetime in service
While the Grimaldi A15 style LED 5 watt appliance light bulbs claim a 20 year lifetime in service (at 3 hrs/day), my experience suggests that the actual lifetime in service may be substantially less than 2 years.I replaced the two incandescent appliance light bulbs in my refrigerator with the Grimaldi LED appliance bulbs in November, 2018. Only seventeen (17) months = 1.42 years later, one of the Grimaldi bulbs failed, whereupon I purchased another pair of identical Grimaldi bulbs, replacing the failed bulb with one of the new bulbs.Three months after that, the other of the original pair of Grimaldi bulbs failed after a total of only twenty (20) months = 1.67 years in service. This, the second of the original Grimaldi bulbs, was replaced with the second of the new pair of Grimaldi bulbs.I am certain that the daily use of these bulbs within my refrigerator was well below the 3 hrs/day that is the basis of the representation of a 20 year lifetime specified for the Grimaldi bulbs. Nevertheless, both original bulbs failed in well short of 20 years. It is possible that the first pair of Grimaldi bulbs was the unfortunate product of a bad manufacturing lot. It remains to be seen how long the second pair of such bulbs, installed in April and July, 2020, and now in service, will survive before failing.

Couldn't Use Garage Door Openers
After installing these bulbs that specifically state they are great for garage door openers, it would no longer let the remotes work. Anytime the lights were on, the remotes failed to function. I had to wait for the lights to turn off before I could close the garage door, or open the door and then turn off the lights before getting in my car. Certainly NOT suitable for a garage door opener!

Good replacement for standard 40W appliance bulbs
Good replacement for standard 40W appliance bulbs used in a refrigerator. Daylight white at 5000K is the color, so they are somewhat blue in appearance. Made in China and arrive in an unmarked box with no name on the bulb itself, but a card from Mansa Electrical accompanies them. They seem to put out about 400 lumens [bulb base says 400 lumens, description says 450 lumens]. At 5 watts they definitely put out more light than the 2.8 watt Meridian LED's (225 lumens) that I tried initially. Haven't had them long enough to comment on reliability or lifetime.

Both bulbs failed after <4 years. Incandescents last longer.
The bulbs look great, but they don't last. When I replaced two failed bulbs in October of 2017, I thought I was making a fix that would last a lifetime. Now in 2021, the fridge has gone mostly dark again. Both LED bulbs failed. They are survived by the remaining incandescent that was originally installed with the unit over 10 years ago, which was also still burning in 2017.
