Super cute to read on the first day of school!

This is a wonderful book to read on the first day of school! Following our reading, we request that students think of three things you want your teacher to know about you… This activity allows the teacher to learn quite a lot about each student, from if writing is a struggle or comes easy. Th student may shared some important information about themselves; additionally, handwriting. Plus, you can develop a start place for your instructional needs of the class.

This is a perfect way to start a year with a new class. No matter the age, every elementary teacher will love sharing this book and making connections with their students right away. It’s heartfelt and sets the right tone for the year. The follow-up book for the end of the year is a perfect match. Well done!

Awesome book, however for the price it would have been nice to have it in hard cover.

Brilliant book, with such a lovely message. I am so happy to have come across this book via the teaching community on Instagram. I’m looking forward to sharing it with my class in the Autumn, and establishing a caring classroom community. Gorgeous illustrations too!

I love the illustrations. In school is not all about school work, some values like respect and kindness are very important and we also learn them at home, church, community and school.
