the best Assam tea
I drink loose Assam tea daily, and have tried many brands, including some very expensive ones. This type I have now ordered twice, and find it to be just about the best one yet. Well-infused flavor, rich and malty. I will continue to purchase it as long as offered!

My new morning “go to” tea
I had this tea when traveling and Ireland several weeks back and enjoyed. Went online and found this and love it! The flavors when properly brewed per the supplied instructions provide a full bodied yet very balanced and drinkable black tea. I am now hooked on this and would highly recommend this product and supplier.

A clean loose leaf tea... very tasty..
Assams are among my favorite teas... my go to Assam is Taylors of Harrogate.... For my brew strength it always brews 5 or so good cups of tea. This tea is milder, that is needs to brew longer has a back of the tongue residual that is pleasent and tells you that you have had some tea.. The aroma is quite nice not bitter not sweet... it tastes a bit more bitter, not in a bad way compared with Taylors, i can see why they suggest some milk. I drink it straight up, no sugar no milk.. and drink several cups a day. Drinking water alone gets old have some tea... I also drink my tea weaker than some. I do not curling my teeth with each sip...I like scotch so the malty comments appealed to me, yea maybe there is a malty note compared to other teas but rather subtle.... I even tried to mix it with a bit of Macallen.. hey it had to be tried... they really did not complement each other.. maybe that is why tea and scotch has not made it up the favorite cocktail ladder...The tea is clean, have not seen any timber in it....i was not compensated, like so many reviews... I don't believe those anyway... hey joe gimmie 5 bucks i write a good review for you....

I like more flavor so hope next round does it
I have only made one batch so far. 18 grams in 4 cups boiling water steep 5 minutes, strain then 4 cups ice water. Next time will be 20 grams and steep 6 minutes. It is a smooth tea. I like more flavor so hope next round does it. I like the Tazo Blue ice tea , just want a change up. Drink home made ice tea everyday.

Delightful tea
Tasty & smooth, amber. This would be a good everyday tea. Make it regular or extra strong. Not bitter when steeped 3 min at 194F. indulge! This tea is quality at a reasonable price. It is a quality Assam.

This is a medium to full bodied Assam with good aroma that allows two or three infusions
This is a medium to full bodied Assam with good aroma that allows two or three infusions. It's acceptable on its own but really shines as the foundation for a Morning Tea blend. Good value.

I was hoping for more.
I was hoping for more. If you read the description, this should be a wonderful cup, and while it is a good cup, any sense of "malty" is more imagination than reality.

Might be worth a 5 star, but I was hoping for a particular flavor tasted once ever in my lifetime
I'm going to qualify my 4-star rating. I purchased this tea (along with half a dozen other "Assam" teas) with the hope of reproducing the flavor of an AWESOME Assam tea I enjoyed a few years ago at St Regis hotel in Houston TX. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, NONE of the teas (including this one) holds the same flavor as that one did. With that said, this does make a good, flavorful, and full-bodied cup of black tea, which I am enjoying, despite the lack of distinctive flavor I was hoping to get. It was received quickly, does have a "malty" flavor as described, and the resealable and pretty sturdy package is very handy, keeping the tea leaves in good physical condition. From what I can observe so far, the package contents do reflect the entire tea leaves and not also twigs and branches which I've seen cautioned about from other sellers. Based on all the foregoing, I would recommend this tea and the seller.
