I have seen and used quite a few yoga wheels personally and I can definitely say you get what you pay for. This "ORIGINAL Basic" model is 100% made in the USA. This is their most popular model.It is by far the sturdiest wheel I have used, and the finish is perfect. Just holding it in your hands, it weighs almost 50% more than what all the inexpensive <$40 competing products do, and feels SOLID. It does NOT flex hardly at all compared to other wheels. You can literally stand on this thing and it feels like a solid foundation to balance on. Don't be fooled by marketing hype when others say that theirs can withstand 500lbs. Sure, theirs won't break with weight on them, but they bend and flex like crazy making them unstable to use, essentially useless for balance poses.I use this mostly for practicing backbends, but the more I play with it, the more uses I find for it. I practice mostly on my own, and I have found this invaluable for safely doing deeper backbends.I definitely did my homework before buying one of these. My two biggest prevailing things keeping me from buying this originally were:1. This is a really expensive prop (I paid the same amount for this wheel as I did my mat!), and was not sure if I would use it a lot. But just like a high quality mat, this thing is built to last a lifetime. And the truth is I play with this every chance I get. I love backbends and this allows me to explore them deeper than I could safely do before alone.2. There are much cheaper alternatives. True, but I can count on one hand the number of them I have seen that live up to the quality of the original wheels that DYW makes. Most of them are poorly finished (the rubber mat material arrives poorly glued and peels after a few uses), the plastic is cheaply molded and thin causing it to flex with any weight on it, etc. DYW makes a low cost unit (Basic Eco-Nomical model) to compete with the inexpensive ones, but I can tell you from experience, just buy this one and don't look back.
