SEVA USA Lice Comb, Treatment, Removal

This comb works great. It has done an excellent job picking out live lice and the nits from my daughter's long, wavy/curly hair. It even pulled out some dead, scabby skin from being bitten by the lice. I took another reviewer's advice and tried swishing the comb after every swipe in a bowl of water I had boiled to get the lice and nits off and kill them. It was difficult to just swish them off because they stuck onto the comb, but I figured that is because the comb is doing it's job to get them out of the hair, and I wouldn't want it to easily come off. I did section the hair off to comb it and was very particular about small sections for the first couple of times. I have not seen any more live lice since the first time I used it. We will continue to comb once a day for at least the next week to make sure we've not left any nits that could hatch.The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because of the design of the comb handle. The pieces of metal are stamped together in five places, and it does not hold them together. The first time I used it, the two metal pieces started coming apart, allowing the red plastic piece in between to slide around. Because the inner plastic piece moves around, hair gets caught and easily pulled out of the head. Also, I cut my finger on the handle on the first day while using it because the metal edges were separated since they weren't fastened together well. By the fourth day of use, while boiling the comb in a pan of water to kill anything that might still be stuck on it, it completely came apart. I am disappointed about that, but I will be able to continue using it. It will just be more cumbersome trying to keep all the pieces together while combing.*Update: Two weeks later we are still using the comb to be sure we don't have a reinfestation. Several nits are able to go right through the comb's teeth because they are so small and my daughter's hair is smooth and fine. Now I am to the point that I comb and look for nits to pull out with my fingers that don't get caught by the comb. I am still pleased to have the comb, as we have not resorted to chemical products at all.

Sometimes despite your best efforts a child shares a hair brush with another and the child gets lice from someone else. This comb is what the experts use. I am not kidding. There is a place near me that specializes in this. This is the preferred tool. Get a clear plastic bowl, fill half way with water and put a white paper towel underneath to see the lice. This gets everything. Lookup how to remove the nits but this comb is perfect. All the other combs that I had seen do not do it justice.

This comb was a life saver! Used it once every other day on both my kids, and we were in the clear in a few weeks. We're still using the comb every few days just to be sure. Compared with other, more expensive and harsher treatments, this is a simple solution to a lice infestation. It can be very time consuming at first, but once you've done a few rounds of combing you'll see fewer and fewer nits.

This is such a life saver! Notice I did NOT say lice saver!!! 😁😜 within a couple days we were adult lice-free and as long as I boil water and pour it over it after each use, I feel safe using this as often as we have itchy heads! All in all I highly recommend!

Only lice comb that really works.

This comb worked great on my son's hair! The other plastic combs pull and hurt. This just goes right through the hair with no trouble will getting the nits and eggs! It's perfect and I would recommend this to anyone!

This comb works great! I knew my daughter would very lice someday and bam it happemed in kindergarten. Google olive oil and make the process easier for yourself with this comb.

At first I thought this item was going to be as little as the plastic combs in the store bought kits. NOPE. This is a nice size and works great!
