not acceptable
Coffee pot spills all over the table or counter top while filling the cup, no matter how carefully I pour. The coffee is never hot enough. After brewing I have to microwave to get it to a drinkable temperature

Works great
Have had the coffee maker since I was in college and it works great. The coffee was hot and strong. Don’t know what are others probs but it works great for those who live in a college dorm or apartments. But that’s just me.

TERRIBLE coffee maker
I bought this from Ollie's for 10 bucks before I read all these 1 and 2 star reviews. I thought surely this can't be so bad, it's a simple coffeemaker. The other reviews are 100% accurate. This thing is total garbage. It is slow to brew, the carafe leaks every single time you pour any coffee no matter if you try to pour slowly or quickly. There's no getting around the leak, it's in the design. Also in the design in the filter swinging door hinge that is hard to close and almost impossible if the carafe is insert. The power cord is short. All around this is an absolutely terrible product with no thought put into the design. It's going in the trash.

Pot Broke
I moved to an apartment and figured I would go small to save counter space. The first time I washed the pot, I was holding the handle and using a sponge on the inside to clean it. The glass where the top of the handle connects broke and I am surprised I did not get cut! I do not think I was placing undue stress while cleaning. I would steer clear, or be very careful when cleaning. Pot is not very durable!

super slow!
Bought for $10 at a discount store while traveling, as ours broke. I like a finer ground coffee and it did not work/brew in this machine; flooded/overflowed everywhere! So got a normal ground coffee; brews it, but takes forever (15-20 minutes)! Sometimes it doesn't brew all the water through; they'll be some left floating over the coffee grounds in the filter area. Maybe just got a defective one? (First use, I brewed water through it 3 times; went fast; but just not when coffee is added). Probably will end up buying a different brand of coffee maker.UPDATE: I tinkered around with it and bent some piece so that the coffee would brew through without overflowing. However, ended up buying a new coffee maker as the hot plate stopped working after only a month of use (at only being used once a day for about an hour)!!! Ended up buying a Black and Decker 5-cup coffee maker for $20 and so far, no complaints!Update: ...5 years later and still using the Black and Decker coffee maker with no issues!2nd Update: The Black and Decker coffee maker finally died after using it for 5 years and 2 months; will be replacing with another Black and Decker coffee maker!

Monumental waste of money
Takes forever. Filter basket overflows because it doesn't allow the water/coffee to filter quickly enough. Doesn't heat the water enough. Carafe dribbles when pouring. I know...it's a cheap coffee maker. But this isn't rocket science. We bought it for the camper but recently had to use it in the house while waiting for a replacement coffee maker for the kitchen. It's not worth the money, even under $15. When the "real" coffee maker arrives I'm throwing this one away. Yes...it's that bad.
