Designed for use in tumblers, flat laps, or sphere machines, these packages of Silicon Carbide Ungraded 200 Coarse Grind Grit are available in varying amounts. They also work in other machines that require coarse and fine grit. This type of abrasive has a sharp, hard grain for fast cutting. A sturdy container helps to prevent leaking and contamination.Diamond Pacific outlines the basic grit sequence as follows, but it can be modified depending upon material: The standard sequence for a rotary tumbler is 60/90, 220 and 600 silicon carbide, followed by a polish. For best results, use an aluminum oxide pre-polish 800 grit before the final polish. Use this same silicon carbide sequence including the aluminum oxide pre-polish, in vibratory tumblers. When lapping, add the 400 and 1000 grits to the standard sequence. Sharp, hard grains for fast cutting. Use in tumblers, flat laps, or sphere machines. Available in 1 lb. or 5 lb. packages.
