So i have been trying to find the black handball that Rocky had in the movies but no luck as he supposedley uses the "official seamless 555" handball which are no longer made and are very hard to find, and if you are able to find them they are pretty expensive! the Edtl brand is much cheaper and almost exactly the same handball as Rocky uses in the movie in my opinion...the handball is harder than a raquetball but is the same size as Rocky uses in the movie. If you play handball i don't think this would be a good ball to use, however if you do not play handball and are looking for a replica handball that Rocky used in the movie to take with you as he did then this ball is perfect! i bought a can that has 2 and i take mine everywhere i go just like Rocky did! i have a spare incase i lose one and i know where i can buy more if need be.

I've played handball for many years, both casually and in many tournaments. If this were 1980, these would be an excellent traditional black ball. But, time has moved on, and the regulation USHA handballs are a little lighter and slightly softer. The means less bruising (almost none). These EDTL handballs bring back fond memories of years gone by (I was younger then), but not fond memories of bruises and less bounce. EDTL handballs need a redesign to modern USHA standards. I bought 1 can to try them, but was "sorely" disappointed. However, their gloves are excellent - long lasting and never get wet during play. Best gloves I've ever used.

very good weight and size this is the one ball that can take the abuse

I am still new to handball (been playing for about a year) and this was my first time playing with a small ball. I can only advise you to make sure that you order some padded gloves before playing with this ball! This ball is like playing with a heavy rock that also happens to bounce :). I usually play with a pair of Ektelon Extreme handball gloves, deerskin with no padding and that is not enough to be able to play with this ball comfortably and I certainly wouldn't try it bare handed. So I'm putting this ball away and not playing with it until I get a lot better at handball. But that's no reason to not give it 5 stars - it comes in a nice can and was shipped very quickly.
