Long overdue review from years ago. I was well under the weight limit but it broke as i stood on it and sliced open my ankle. Very dangerous!

Honestly I haven't yet used it. My Son has a lifted 4x4 Dodge truck for pulling our race car in his toy hauler, whenever I travel with him it's a real challenge to climb into his truck and is less than dignified, so I bought the folding step stool to assist in that regard. I figured I would tie a wrist strap to it, use it to get in the truck, pull it in after me, fold it up to minimize space requirements, and deploy it again upon egress. And I can always use a step stool around my home wood shop as I store many things up high out of the way and out of reach. when I have the opportunity I will do a full review. Thanks,Mark Sloan

Compact But Sturdy
I bought this stepstool for my daughter and she loves it. And especially how flat it folds up. It fits neatly between her refrigerator and the cabinets. I had already bought the 11" for myself but because her cabinets are very high and she is only 5', I bought her the 13". And she said it was perfect for getting things high up in her cabinets. The most attractive thing being it folds up so compact but is very sturdy. It's the perfect solution when you are short on space to store one and it's quick and handy. It's very smooth and easy to open and close. We love them!

open and fold easily and is light weight
The stool was as described; open and fold easily and is light weight. The polka dots grips are fund and attractive; fits perfectly in the tiny space between the counter and fridge. When I pulled it out of the package a small rubber item fell off; it was from the base of the stool and went back on without effort. Very good stool for the priice

Updated review: Fine for light use, but not for serious work
I suppose you get what you pay for. This is an OK product. It seems sturdy, but there are NO labels indicating weight capacity or safety certifications. While government regulations can go overboard, I would like to see some evidence of testing or standards compliance on a product that I will stand on. I will use it, but at the first sign of an issue, into the recycling bin it goes.Updating my earlier review: I have now used this for overhead work. I weigh 190 pounds. Well below the claimed max weight for this stool. Nevertheless, I found that it is not stable enough to provide a good platform for serious overhead work. It does not resist lateral shifting. It did not collapse by any means, but the platform and the stability of the legs did not inspire confidence. This would be fine for a child at a sink, or for reaching into an upper cabinet in the kitchen. That's probably what it's intended for. But if you want something for home repairs or other more strenuous use, get something more substantial. Again, you get what you pay for.

Wish it felt more solid.
Stool does not open out into solid square corners; the cross piece on the shorter side is slightly bent, giving the feeling of something not quite stable. When I sit on it, it has not collapsed, but does not give me the confidence that it won't. I use this for weeding in the garden; the 13" height is just right. I only wish it felt more solid...

I do love the fact that it folds and can be stuck ...
It is as described, but wish it were about 3 or 4 inches wider. I not only use it to stand on, but I sit on it when getting down in the back of lower cabinets. I do love the fact that it folds and can be stuck out of the way.

Big help
It definitely is better than the 9" high step stool that I had and I have not had a problem with it. . But I don't feel quite as secure as I did with the 9". I think that the top surface should be a little larger to make it feel more stable.
