Best little flashlight I have ever had!
I got this mostly so I could safely get to my car at night as there is a curb and no street lights at my sister's house. I walk with a cane, so I need to take all precautions. It is small enough to put in my purse. ( it's a bit heavy for me to carry a lot, but worth it for my safety). Last night I put it to good use in my apartment. We had a tornado hit about 1/2 mile from me. The power was out for about 4 hours. I turned it on to the widest beam and stood it on end and had a nice light throughout the room. Not enough light to read, unless I held it, but it was like I had a low light lamp on and lit up the whole room. Really came through for me! Love it! I'm going to get another one to keep by my bedside. I am retired and live alone.

Good light, use 18650's instead of AAA
It's a good flashlight and pretty bright. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of 18650 batteries (and be aware that any 18650 that advertises more than 3400 mAh is almost certainly lying as of Q1 2018 state of the art). These things draw about 1.2A on a fresh battery, AAA's will never be able to push that much current. Also an 18650 is rechargeable and you'll be recharging often. Power hungry little guy, but that's the price you pay for how bright it is.I'm not bold enough to test the structural or sealing claims, but I've had it in light rain without problems. Not bad for a very low-cost knock off of 1Tac.

Rugged, best light range - fabulous
Be careful which tactical light you purchase. I have tried out about a dozen different models and this one is the best. A lot of the others had too small of a "wide beam" or the overall footprint of light was insufficient, a clip that gets in the way, the battery contacts fail, etc. This flashlight has great range of light, good contacts, easy to extend and importantly is really rugged when I have dropped it into the bilge and recovered it unscathed.

WoW! Its great!
The power of this flashlight to flood a huge area with light or have a spot at an object in the distant is phenomenal! Quick and easy to switch from "flood" to "spot" in such a small flashlight is convenient. It fits nicely in my back pocket, and I have a light in my home, car, motorcycle, and cabin in the mountains. I've dropped them multiple times with absolutely no damage.

Terrible for self defense, ok for out in the woods.
Very impractical to use in a self defense situation. The button must be pushed on before the different modes can be selected. When the flashlight is first turned on it is on its brightest setting, following that is medium, low, strobe and then SOS. After 5 seconds in the off position it starts the cycle over again regardless of the previous mode that it was left in. The audible "click" is very loud and the light does not work if the button is pushed in only halfway. The halfway press function only works to switch modes if the light has already been clicked to the on position and when pressed momentarily turns the light off. If it is held halfway down for more than 5 seconds, then the light will cycle back to the brightest setting again. This light is also too large and will not fit into a 1" weapon light mount. Overall I am very unhappy with this light for the purpose of any kind of self defense or "tactical" use but I will be keeping it simply because it is a decent flashlight for normal use. A better description of the item for sale would easily have changed this review to a better one but the current description and directions on this page are misleading.

Don't buy it.
I put three fresh Alkaline AAA batteries in it and it's just not that bright. I'm keen on what's expected and cutting edge in terms of tech and I'm surprised this product got Amazon's recommendation based on my experience. It's precise-looking metal body over-promises on it's lackluster luminosity. Usefulness of the focusing ability is very limited.

Almost a Great Product.
I like the product and it is VERY bright and telescopes to narrow or widen the beam easily (but probably too easily in a stress situation).. However getting it to dim, SOS and strobe would be difficult in a stressful situation. Once on, you gently push the button to change to another mode. If you press too hard the light turns off and you start over. I’ll keep it to use in hotels and the car but will look for one to carry on the street that changes modes using hard button presses.

Great flashlight as expected
I got one of these for each of my kids for presents and they love them! My son uses his everyday my daughter uses hers every day in the winter time they love the brightness of them and the way they switch on and off. My problem would only be the battery length of time that it lasts but that's more battery than flashlight so if you get it get an extra battery so that you always have one ready
