It's been a while since I had used a cast net. I picked this one up for a trip to the beach. We had a lot of fun with it. It's high quality, at least as far as I can tell. The nylon pulls are stout and the mesh is strong. It's carefully packed in the little tackle box it comes in and I had no problems getting it back in the box.I could not be happier with it. If you have never thrown a net this is a great starter size, and it's not a bad size for anyone. It operates smoothly and doesn't bind up.Great cast net, I give it five stars.Thanks

THIS CAST NET IS A 5 FT RADIUS CAST NET. I was looking for a cast net and this looked like a good quality net, but I didn't know the size. I saw another cast net by the same company on Amazon and it clearly said it was a 4 ft radius net in the title. Therefore, I thought this net had to be different from the 4 ft cast net. After clicking on the picture and zooming in, I could barely make out a number 5 next to radius size, so I ordered it and it was 5 ft as I assumed.Other than that, the cast net is of really good quality, it casts well, the weights are nice and heavy (abt. 6 pounds), the rope is pretty long (10 ft. give or take), and it closes properly so the fish can't escape. Also, the shipping was really fast.

realmente es un producto bueno, lo tengo desde hace 2 años creo o menos y en el primer dia fue que se me rompio dicha union, tube que repararlo yo mismo como 3 veces en este tiempo que la e tenido y no esta mal, la recomiendo mas bien para la orilla (no desde el muelle) pues como es mas limitado el espacio para lanzarla pues se abre bien, ahora que si lo que quieres es pescar desde muelles o en embarcaciones te recomiendo una de 8 o 9 pies , sino se queda corta

I have always,well,maybe NOT always,wanted to get one of these,just to see how it works,well,after about 12 casts,it became EZ,and fun too,it gave me a chance to see just how beautiful the fish are when they are tooo small for a hook,starting colors,nice lines,while I bought it to collect bait (its IMPERATIVE!! that you check local fish and game laws regarding the use of a castnet,which may or not vary from water to water ,some areas require a Castnet Permit to use in certain areas!!!!),it became more of a personal research,fun type thing,I can see this being a great family type tool,kinda like kids going thru the garden with a butterfly net catching bugs and butterflies,cept HERE you DONT know what you are catching until you pull the net up.CONS-This device can be dangerous,it can if NOT kept under CONTROL,lead to excercise,weight loss,arouse your desire to study water life forms,spend more time with your kids as they want to see what the next catch brings in.USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.As a serious note-this has a long chord which can be dangerous to young children that may become entangled in any part of the net.Enjoy.........
