I use this for my refrigerator icemaker so I don't have to buy those expensive pre-packaged filters. I just fill the canister with de-ionized resin and carbon, then pop into a standard water filter outer shell. Much better filtration and cheaper to use!

Great compatible empty filter cartridge and really fast arrival but gotta deduct a point or two for a product label applied directly to the filter housing. Neither 70% nor 91% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol could remove the last traces of this obnoxious adhesive, but 190 proof ethanol and a lot of friction seem to have done the trick. I'll try a different brand next just because of the hassle of removing this sticker. Otherwise totally acceptable. Includes a pair of foam pads for above and below DI resin. Refilling DI canisters yourself ensures fresh effecient resin and allows for really tight packing to somewhat mitigate the settling of the heavier cation resin fraction that always happens with loosely pre-filled MBD-DI canisters. Compatible with 3D-printed filling/tamping kit for standard 2.5x10 DI cartridges. Would definitely buy again if no sticker on the canister could be assured.
