If you work with sheet material such as paper, cloth, metal, or plastics, Paul Jackson is happy to show you what it can do. And you will be happy to learn that it can do more than you thought. "Complete Pleats" presents the possibilities in Jackson's visually clean style. He explains every step,building from the simplest fold to "accordion across knife" and "twists in combination". The diagrams give you an immediate sense of what is required, and the photos show you an excellent version of the technique. As soon as you start folding a new lesson, you will notice how the material responds, how it works, and you will think that this could lead to something really cool. You will be right.It looks like a book, but it is really a diving board. Mr. Jackson invites you to launch yourself and your projects with fresh energy and possibilities. I have some of his previous books. I expect this one will become as traveled and worn as the others. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I do.

I could (And probably will) spend months going through this book. An invaluable resource for both fiber and paper artists. Great illustrations, and just enough text.

Wow a lot more examples and techniques that I imagined. Covers the basics and provides the background needed to start creating your own designs.

Love this book! It is fun, creative and clearly written. As a painter I have been inspired by many of the examples found in this book.I gave this book to my sister who is a quilter. The possibilities are endless!

I’m a textile maker and have shelves and shelves of textbooks on designing and creating things by hand. This is the most user friendly book I have ever read.Its conversational and friendly style is peppered with occasional dry wit. The illustrations and written directions are perfect, easy to understand and encouraging. I would highly recommend reading and using this book exactly as Paul Jackson, its writer, requests.The ideas within have my head buzzing with endless design possibilities together with the thought that I’m in good hands here and will be able to achieve a design concept that I thought would be impossible.

BEAUTUFUL!As someone who’s business is all about folds and Covid making my reality one of reinventing myself...well this is the man and his work that is going to make that possible for me.
