I ordered these plates for the family because a couple of the us need to work on portion control. The younger kids (ages 3 and 6) thought these plates were the bomb! They actually thanked me for buying them! They love how colorful they are and they love putting the different foods in the different sections. I like that the younger ones are learning the technical terms for food groups (proteins, grains, etc.). As for the older ones in the family, we didn't like learning what true portion sizes are! LOL!!!! But,I feel that these plates will definitely help us stick to our portion sizes and it will be a huge health benefit to us in the long run. This was a great purchase in our quest for a healthier lifestyle.

I purchased these plates to teach my 2yr old about better eating habits.The plates are large and sturdy and have held up in both microwave and dishwasher so far.They are simple but seem to be doing the trick. When plating our meals, my 2yr old likes to point out where each type of food goes.Added bonus is that my husband is also using this plate as a portion control guide. He tends to overeat so the plates act as a gentle reminder.All in all, I am quite pleased with the plates. The price is right and they are serving the purpose I purchased them for. These have been wonderful to help us make well rounded meals. They also start the conversations with our kids around what a well balanced meal is, and what things fit in those categories. The girls always go around and say what's on their plate and what category it fits in. We hope it carries forward as they grow up. And they're dishwasher safe! Can't go wrong.

I bought these for my two-year-old grandchild. They are bright, colorful and attractive. My daughter likes them because it reminds her to plan meals including all the food groups. The portion dividers seem a little large, though, for a two-year-old, although that is the lower age limit for which the plates were recommended for use. I would say that each section should be only half-filled for an appropriate two- or three-year old portion. I note that several reviews complain that the color is not durable; we've been using them for only a week or so now, and have not yet found any problems in that regard, although I will edit my review should that happen.

This plate has helped me immensely in feeding my picky preschooler. My son has Sensory Processing Disorder and mealtime can be tough because he doesn’t want to eat new foods (i.e. new foods = tantrums/whining).With this plate, I now feed him in stages - fruit and/or veggies have to be eaten first before he can get peanut butter or chicken (his preferred foods). My son likes routines, so all foods are distributed according to the picture at every meal, plus he knows how much he has to eat because the plate is divided.You can’t put a price on the amount of whining this has eliminated during our mealtimes.These plates hand wash very well and I like that they are BPA-free and melamine-free, too. Would recommend to any parent!

My toddler has thrown this plate across the room and it was fine. However, this plate is not dishwasher safe, nor is it hot water safe. The picture I provided was after rinsing with hot water before using soap. I e used this plate 4 times. Tonight was the last night as I had to clean the ink bleed off of my toddlers high chair and off my hands and sink.

I like the way they're divided out in the colorful Arrangements of everything on the plate the children really enjoy it too and will let you know when you have something in the wrong place💖

I bought these because I didn’t want to spend $20+ per plate, and the design itself is decent. But… you get what you pay for. After handwashing twice, the design has essentially melted and bleeds onto anything it touches (your hands, sponges, etc.). I would understand this happening if I ran them through the dishwasher, but this happened after gentle handwashing. I’m not comfortable serving food on plates with dye that oozes off, so will probably discard the whole set.
