*edited review* I finally managed to fully peel the sticker off! Fortunately there isn't much residue left from it, and it looks very clean. After a few days of using this, i will say it takes a little time to get used to knowing how to open it. But other than that, the product itself seems VERY secure and safe. I feel much better knowing that the old flimsy sheath i used to have might not accidentally come off in my bag and slice my hand open whenever i try to grab something out of my work bag. My knife doesn't budge in this thing - it holds tight, my knife handle that's sticking out doesn't even move - not even in the slightest. I highly recommend this product and I'm happy that the outcome was better than i first thought it might be! The only thing i would say is i wish it came in solid black, instead of just clear or grey. But color obviously isn't a big deal -not in the slightest, when compared to functionality and safety. It is a little bulky, but it's worth it just to know my knife is safe and secure, and that i won't accidentally injure myself on the blade when it's not in use.

Update: Turns out spots are temporary. I've changed the stars to reflect actual situation. I'm pretty sure the spots were about the manufacturing oil. I'm NOT bummed. Love the case which is secure and strong and effective. I'll toss the knife in my bag and go on my way with no worries. Original post: Perfect size for classic Shun chef but I did not read reviews pointing out marks on the blade. Rubber pads leave marks that have been unable to remove. If I figure out out I will update the review. Bummed because I haven't even used the knife....

Cover is great strong material good protection and fit. Price is good for the design.

Love that it locks on tight. I feel secure the cover will stop my wife from using my sharpest knives.

I have bought probably close to 10 of these I personally think they're fantastic I use Wusthof performer knives they fit snug and protect the integrity of the blade id recommend getting some and thank you.

I had to get a cover for my chefs knife that I knew was gonna get tossed around, and the slip on covers would not work. This is a perfect alternative, the blade on my knife is secure, and there’s not even a slight shift in it, even with all the bag throwing done. The clips are easy to use, the size is great, and it got shipped relatively quickly! I bought the 8 inch for a chefs knife, and I liked it so much I bought a 10 inch for my serrated knife, and a 4 inch for my paring knife. Perfect for industry work if you don’t mind a little bulk in your bag.

La funda se ve bien y si fija la hoja por dentro pues evita que se mueva el cuchillo dentro de la funda por lo que el filo no toca la superficie de la cubierta protectora, desgraciadamente para el cuchillo que la ocupaba no le quedó porque es más ancho; pero me sirvió para un cuchillo de cerámica (pequeño de menos de 1 pulgada de grueso, solo tengo que cerrar despacio la funda para no quebrar o dañar el cuchillo de cerámica) que no tenía funda y lo protege bien. Asi que contento con la compra!!

la calidad se nota de inmediato, se nota que sera duradera y mi familia estara segura en la cocina con mi cuchillo bien aislado del resto. PD en mi hogar cada quin tiene su cuchillo de cocina.
