good sound for price. was shipped early. easy to unpack and set up. ONLY issues the cable included is 1/4 inch but the inputs for the speaker are 1/8 inch. Why include a cable you don't need? Free cable YAY, unnecessary cable, BOO!You have to be careful balancing input versus AMP volume. These are Mid-range speakers so there is a narrow sweet spot that maintains clarity at like 80 dbs. Like 40% volume from your computer and 70% Amp power. To be expected. If these were $300 I would be pissed. For $140, eh what the heck, it's a great deal until you feel like dropping the big bucks on a more powerful pair. I think I will have to fiddle with them a bit to get it perfect.I like the simple and non-intrusive style. And they are the right size to look serious but not be bulky.Overall: Well balanced solution for those of us who want to max spend $150. If you can drop $400, there's probably a better pair out there for you!

As an artist musician and producer I must say high-quality sound absolutely outstanding wonderful performance but I would recommend for anyone who's looking for absolute fantastic quality for a low price Rockville is one of the best set of monitors that I have owned absolutely ecstatic about my purchase and could never be happier

I did not purchase a set of AMP6's, but I just ordered a set of Rockville AMP5's and they were honestly a very pleasant surprise. The sound quality for the price is honestly unbeatable. I purchased these for an engineering project in which I will be building isolated speaker stands, and needed a set of quality low cost studio monitors in order to have a good enough sound source to be able to see if the stands make a difference. For starters, the included boost/cut switches for the bass and treble are great for fitting the speakers to your room and making them work well for the sort of music that you are listening to or mixing. In general, these speakers have nice crisp bass, clear treble, plenty of volume, and a wonderfully accurate but not harsh sound that makes it pleasant to listen to music for hours rather than experiencing ear fatigue like many cheaper speakers can cause.The quality of the enclosure is very nice for the price, and the wood grain front is very attractive. The controls and inputs allow for a large variety of setups and applications. These would work well for beginner to intermediate home studio monitors up to even acting as a set of powered bookshelf speakers.Pros:-Clear sound even up to high volumes.-Well balanced frequency spectrum for accurate sound reproduction-No excessive bass-Good variety of inputs-Headphone Jack-Included volume control and bass and treble switchesCons:-NoneNOTE: These speakers are only equipped with 6" drivers (5" in my case), and they put out great tight clear bass, but for louder heavier bass style music such as dubstep or EDM, I would recommend getting a small subwoofer to go along with these. Rockville makes several suitable ones.I would definitely recommend it for a friend or purchase again. These cannot be beat for the price, even when compared to low cost offerings from other better known manufacturers. Overall they are very attractive, well made, and they sound great.

At first I hesitated in purchasing the 6.5 speakers. There were no reviews on the website, except for one on you tube. I purchased them for a small recording studio I'm building. I'm not using them for parties and so the need to fully blast the speakers is not necessary. I need clear sounds that are not muffled. I get them delivered and they are beautifully structured. These are the red ones. Very nice looking. Heavy duty frame. Of course the main thing, the sound? These are very clear. They give you good highs, mids and an ok low. You have to remember, these are only 6.5 speakers. If your looking for more bass, they have an 8" speaker or they have a 10" subwoofer that you can attach. For what I need them for, they are perfect. In the rear they have two toggle switches, one for highs and the other for bass. Volume control also to adjust to your preferred sound. All in all, they are great speakers. Mine came with the stands which are just perfect. I would really recommend them.
