the steps are not quite as pictured, the support frame is wood stained mahogany like the steps not black. The instructions are terrible!!!!!!! someone actually hand drew additional pictures to try and help with the problem of the poor instructions. There were not enough pilot holes so we had to drill additional ones for the support brackets. When we finished we had a about 8 wood screws leftover, yikes!
