If you like dates, then you will love this paste. Buying dates from the store is very expensive. This is a 2.2 lb. pack which is most cases you get maybe a 12oz package at the store and costs nearly as much and that is normal dates in a package. This is a paste which obviously takes a lot more dates to make. It is absolutely delicious! Seriously buy this now and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I bought this to make Chef AJ's outrageous brownies. It works great. This date paste is harder than hers so I soften mine in the microwave for a few seconds. It makes it easier for me to mix. The brownies turn out great every time. I love that by using this I add extra fiber an there is no processed sugar.

I use this for baking. I as warm liquid to soak and then stir to make it smooth before adding to recipes that call for date paste or puréed dates. It’s much smoother and blend in better than trying to use whole dates.

I don't normally buy food from Amazon but this was worth it. I made a chocolate ganache torte with this, and it was incredible. This is thick enough to just pinch a few pieces off of, but very sticky so using a utensil is best. I have just had this straight out of the packaging though it's sweet enough to satisfy my cravings for sugar without spiking my sugar levels. It comes double wrapped and is relatively easy to scrape out into another container. I highly recommend putting it into an air tight container if you aren't going to use this all at once.
