Love this stuff but..
Love this stuff for my kids. It's pretty easy to clean up, but I noticed with the green matter, it turns their hands green!

Great value, gluten free, never dries out.
This is a little spendy compared to another big brand of play stuff. Yet it is worth it!I first saw this when a friend brought it to a playdate. My 8 year old daughter played with it and really enjoyed it. I bought some for our four-year-old's birthday (for all the kids) & it has been a hit. I love that it doesn't dry out. It can literally sit in an open container on our table all day long and it is still good as new. Magic! I bought a couple of packages so it was enough for the kids to play with together. We just keep it in a little tote, because the container does not need to be airtight. Another bonus is that it's gluten free. We have a 100% gluten free diet, yet our other play stuff was made with conventional flour and it really bothered me. This is safe!

Cool stuff and better than playdough
If you’re a mom who is sick of throwing away crusty bits of playdough you find on the floor under your table, then this is a step up for you. And it never dries out. You can pick clumps up days later and throw it right back into the bag. This Christmas I gave my 5 year old: Play dough, Kinetic Sand, and this Mad Matter. (Because I’m crazy. And also he loves it.) I put the Mad matter right into a Tupperware box with a lid and some little tiny trucks to make tracks. I put the kinetic sand in another tub with a lid and a Tonka bulldozer and dump truck. The playdough had a fun octopus playset to pump the playdough out of holes. A few days after Christmas and I’ve already thrown clumps of forgotten playdough away but the Mad Matter and kinetic sand are still perfect and being played with in their tubs. So they may be pricey compared to playdough, but Mad matter lasts. And it’s really cool stuff!

Different quality in different bags
I saw this first at our Children’s museum gift shop and thought it was so cool and I loved the stuff. It was very much what every 5 star review says. THEN... I bought some. I bought a green pack and a teal pack. The green pack would get 1 star. It is a mess, stained my hands and anything I touch (see picture). It does not stretch at all and is extra crumbly. This is everything every one star review says. My teal pack is better. Did not stain my hands and was much more sturdy and moldable. I’d give it 3 stars though bc it still does not stretch at all and is nothing like what online videos show, or what I experienced before with the same product. I’m not sure if the color makes the difference or if there is just poor quality control overall. I was excited for this product and what I’d seen of it before, I really thought it has 5 star potential, but if my two packs are different consistency, and neither are the expected quality, it’s a big bummer. I won’t let my kids even play with the green stuff it’s such a disgusting mess. I will likely throw it out. I’ve been experimenting in case it was just off a bit... I kept it on a paper towel and left it out for two weeks to see if it would dry out a bit and maybe that would help? It didn’t dry out, so I guess that could be a good thing, but it didn’t improve at all either. Now I’ve been adding water in case it was just too dry. It doesn’t absorb water well (which again could be a good thing if consistency was already correct), but I did manage to smoosh some in there. It main the green stains more prevalent but did nothing else. I’m open to suggestions but have googled and found NOTHING online as far as tips or tricks with similar concerns. So... overall, I wish I hadn’t ordered, don’t want to risk paying for more, and therefore can’t recommend. Buyer beware.

Play doh & Kinetic Sand HYBRID
Great product, hours of play (minimum 30 minutes daily) for my 2.5 and almost 5 year old that are now home due to the school closures. It’s a lovely true purple, easily moldable and with a tug will stretch off and fall apart. It leaves no residue on hand. No color stains on hands , clothes and a white table, so maybe stick with purple. I gave my kids a cake pan each, some plastic molds, and trinket toys to add to the play. Any loose, smaller pieces on a surface (table, ground) can easily be picked up by pressing down with a bigger piece. For any pieces pushed into something deep (we have a plastic roller), I’ve used a narrow stick (chopstick, Kebob stick) to break at it, and the material comes right out. I came online to order another pack in a different color. Highly recommend

Best moldable sensory toy I've found!
This product seems to be a cross between Play-Doh and Kinetic Sand. It can be shaped into various forms and hold itself (unless too thin and gravity takes place). The product does not dry out if left out even for a long period of time. It doesn't get dried out and stuck in your carpet. If the mad matter does drop all over the carpet, simply get a large piece and smash it on the pieces on the carpet... it should all stick back together. It is a little harder to get all the pieces back if someone steps on it and it mushes in the carpet... some of the mad matter can be pulled out (with its own ball of mad matter) even if stuck, but not 100%.My 3 year old used watercolor paint on it once. I must admit, after that the "stickiness" of the mad matter wasn't the same. Don't get me wrong, it's still an awesome product and does what it supposed to do, but when played (broken) in tiny pieces, it doesn't seem to have the original strength... maybe 90%?

Solid product, less mess than slimes/putty
This kinetic sand style product was incredibly high quality and actually price point lined up very strongly for comparables on the market. My daughter loved this gift and we loved that it didn't get everywhere too easily. Of course it will still break off and leave little remnants here there and everywhere so please be cautious if you think this is a cure all for all the slimes and putty of the world, but it's definitely an improvement. While not exactly the same as kinetic sand, this feels like a slightly higher end version perhaps.Great item, well worth the $$

Forget Kinetic Sand!
This stuff is like kinetic sand, without the headaches kinetic sand comes with. No staining, very little breaking apart, and no mess. Great for stimming if you have an autistic family member. Great for anyone to play with honestly!
