Love/Hate Relationship
This is going to be an obnoxious--but hopefully helpful--review.I was excited when I got this. It looks very simple and clean, and the base holds my essential brushes plus a few extras. The magnified mirror and light is perfect for my bad eyesight and poorly-lit room. However, I was soon let down by this contraption.First, the button to turn the light on and off is utterly useless. It is barely a button. It does not press. The light comes on if you touch it, but it does not turn off in the same way. I have to wiggle a battery half out to get the light to turn off. The light also decides to turn on at its leisure--I have woken up to the light on, come home from a day at work to it on--and I know I'm not leaving it on; first of all, I have to go through the battery removal to get it off, so I remember doing it, and I have also asked my roommates to check after I leave. It just wants to be on 24/7, I guess. So why aren't I returning it? It does work, and it is useful. I also cannot be bothered to go through the return process, especially since I'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint and I know this will likely end up in a landfill. I wish I had gone with a pricier, plastic-free (or at least with less plastic), but what's done is done.

Malfunctioning battery-eater
Pros: This mirror is great when it works! The lights are decently bright when fresh batteries are first installed- not bright enough to be standalone, but enough to make a difference. The magnification is the perfect amount, and is easily positioned to what you need for all the different makeup steps. The storage on it is alright, it's where I keep all my non-eyeshadow brushes, and has perfect little slots in the back for keeping your sponges. It's probably enough for you if you don't have/use a lot of makeup and have a simple routine.Cons: One of the biggest problems is that it doesn't work very long. It sucks through batteries SO quickly! You get maybe 2-3 makeup applications before the batteries start noticeably dying and the light becoming dimmer and dimmer. The cost of the batteries you have to go through to use is just not worth the cost of this mirror. The other big problem is that the on/off touch pad constantly malfunctions. I can only get it to turn off upon first press about 1/3 of the time- sometimes it'll take 10 freaking minutes actually turn off. This drains the batteries even more, as well as when it'll randomly turn itself on, which is often. It's extremely aggravating, unresponsive, and a waste of batteries. I'm very disappointed in it, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice looking ... jury still out on the total function
It takes 3 AA batteries for the light to work. However, it doesn't appear as if the light goes out completely, which will probably mean more batteries. Had to remove a battery for the light to go out totally. However, glad there isn't a cord because it can be placed anywhere in the room. There's a touch button that even if you gently rub your finger over it, it turns the light on easily. There's only one brightness setting and in my opinion. The mirror attaches to a nice organizer where you can place makeup items, nail polish, face serums, etc. You can also un-attach the mirror and use it as a handheld. Awesome! It seems quite sturdy but I don't feel comfortable traveling with it. My daughter is a dancer and travels a lot with a lot of things; afraid it may not survive. For home use, to keep on your vanity or desk- I can definitely recommend this. It's very nice and the mirror magnifies very well. I love the look of this mirror with organizer and think it would make a lovely gift.

Nice little make up vanity and light in one
The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because it is 7x magnification and I was really looking for 10x. That being said, it's a good purchase for the price. It is lightweight and can be assembled/disassembled easily. I love the fact that it holds makeup. I can put blush, two mascaras, tweezer, eyebrow brush and a lipstick all in the base for easy access. The light on/off just requires a light touch. Needs 3 AA batteries which are not included.

Best Mirror for your Buck
This is one of the best items I've ever bought on Amazon. I've gone through several makeup mirrors, but the Daisi mirror not only has the best light, but also the best clarity. I needed a mirror with batteries, this fit the bill. I've had much more expensive mirrors, and I was shocked at how well-lit this item was and blown away by the clarity of the glass. I went to various cosmetic stores, looked on line, and this mirror is perfect. Daisi's my brand from now on.

light turns on by itself and won't turn off
I have had this product for 8 months and about 2 months ago I noticed it had turned itself on with no one touching it. I tried to turn it off, but it would not go off until I pulled a battery out. I don't know how long it was on, but the light was quickly out completely for next time. I replaced batteries and it just happened again - I could not turn it off unless I pulled that battery out. Otherwise, I like the mirror, but replacing batteries because it decides to turn on, is not what I had in mind.

Almost perfect!
I don’t know why I was expecting a two sided mirror but I was a little disappointed when I realized this only came with a magnified mirror. It holds a good amount of beauty products and I love the magnified mirror when I need to apply my eye makeup or tweeze my eyebrows. The bright light is also a plus but it does hurt after a while staring into the mirror. If it came double sided it would be a 5 Star product!

Was satisfied until the light dimmed permanently
Usually I wait a while before writing a review exactly for this reason. After about a month you see if you really do like the product. Glad I waited on this one as I was super happy AT FIRST within a month maybe two the light barley gets bright at all! It's like it's stuck on a low dim. I barley even used the thing too! I rarely do my makeup but wanted something to get my eyeliner just right. Wouldn't buy again or recommend for this reason.
