Works perfectly for home made bread. I always have a hard time slicing a straight piece of bread but with the easy to use bread/roast/loaf slicer all my slices are perfect. I haven't used it to slice meat yet but I do make my own bread and bought it just for that reason. Easy to use, just pull down the stand to hold the bread and adjust the width of the slice. I use a very thin knife to slice the bread and have no problem with the bread tearing.

Works great. I use it everyday. I like that fact that there are several thicknesses to choice from.

Item arrived as expected and worked fairly well the first few times I used it. I've had it now about two months and it no longer works very well - the plastic material it's made out of got nicked by the knife and now the slicer is not usable. As I slice bread, the knife veers off into the plastic and cuts notches that impede the knife's ability to slice the bread. The knife must have caught the plastic surface of the frame one time when cutting bread slices, and now the knife catches the notch in the frame every time I slice bread and makes the notch bigger. Do not buy this product. I tried to address this with the seller and there was no response. I would not recommend the product or the seller. Very bad experience.

Not really what I wanted. Once you slice the bread you have to take the whole loaf out of the slicer and remove the slice, then put the whole loaf back in the slicer, make a slice, take the loaf back out and remove the slice, etc. etc. I wanted one where you could slice the whole loaf and then remove the slices when done. It is also cheaply made. I would suggest you keep looking for a bread slicer.

Very hard to hold. Does the job but you have to chase it around the counter to cut the bread.

Very good designed tool, very easy to used & produce even slice every time. Very good price.

This works as described. Only problem I have with it is that you have to cut a slice, remove loaf and cut slice, place loaf back, cut another slice... but that is the design and I didn't really think about that aspect when I ordered it. It's not that big a deal. I love that you can cut uniform slices and different thicknesses. Plus this is much quicker than pulling out my electric slicer and cleaning that when done. This just goes into the dishwasher.

The bread slicer guide works great. I like to make homemade bread, but I don't like to waste it. With the guide, now the slices are all usable instead of some of them being to thin or to thick. I like thinner slices than my wife, so we now each can have exactly the bread thinkness we like. Great product.Additional thought. I just purchased a new bread machine. It's pan is 5.25 inches wide. The old bread machine pan was 4.75 inches wide. The slicer is 5 inches wide. Still works great, but I have to slice 1/4 inch off one side first.
