What is the difference between K-2005 and K-2006

K-2006 has DPD Powder for Chlorine testing, K-2005 has a liquid reagent. DPD Powder is more accurate.

how many CYA tests can you do with this kit?

You will be able to test six times and have a couple ml left over with the reagent that comes with the test. Then you can either order reagent R-0013 from Amazon or buy it from your local pool store. The actual test may be done unlimited times using this kit so long as you buy more R-0013 to go with it.

can this be used for salt pools?

This kit can be used for salt water pools, but it doesn't test for sodium chloride (salt) content. This kit tests for chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and Cyanuric Acid. I use this regularly on my salt water pool, but also purchased the Taylor K-1766 sodium chloride kit
