I never expected this easy to run a multiple monitor . This cable is AWESOME . Just connect VGA to the monitor and USB to laptop . A pop comes . Open folder , install file for windows or mac as per your system . Once installed . Restart . Boom it works !!!! I tried in both my laptops , ASUS TUF750 and HP .. Just super cable . Thanks to the makers . If not for this cable i would have to buy a docking station with c adapter or usb and then VGA to HDMI . Saves a lot of money., Great product.

Works perfectly as described. I have a laptop with 1 HDMI port only and wanted to have a 3rd extended monitor, I could not use the USB-C port given my laptop does not support that. Hence, I gave this cable a try, plugged into USB 3.0, installed the driver which comes in the built-in drive, restarted, and, TADAAA. Enjoying 3 extended monitors flawlessly. Bought so many cables and adapters to get a second screen running. This finally did the trick! Didn’t even need to faff about drivers.

This cord allowed me to connect a VGA monitor to an HP laptop whose HDMI port had stopped working but had plenty of USB 3 ports. For better or worse, if you just plug the cable in direct from opening the package, you may get 800x600 resolution on your external monitor and greyed out display resolution options in Windows. As the instructions on this product page say: download the drivers and install them first. If you didn't, go to the Cable Creation web site and get their manual. It explains how to remove the entries in your Device Manager. Then start over. When I did this, the drivers activated when I plugged in the cable. This time, the monitor displayed at its optimal resolution, not 800x600. Like many USB devices on Windows, Windows will acted as if it has never seen the cable when I plugged it into a different USB port. I'm very impressed with the quality of cable, and that there is an update app to keep the software drivers current.

My laptop only has one HDMI input so I needed something to add a second external screen but didn’t have the latest generation of USB-C on my laptop. The converter works perfectly and displays on my second external monitor at high resolution without issue or degradation. Highly recommended.

Works instantly. Used the cleaner ( just in case ). Downloaded latest Windows 11 driver from the CableCreation site. Works instantly ! Using on a Lenovo Gaming 3i ( i7 15IHU6 ) which has a USB type-C Gen-1 but does not work for display. Bought some cheap alternative that game me enough trouble and stopped working after Windows 11 upgrade. However, this one ( just installed ) works brilliantly.

Mit diesem USB 3 / VGA Adapter kann man prima alte Bildschirme weiter nutzen (als Desktop Erweiterung) Macht ein sauberes FullHD Bild und kann sogar hochauflösende Videos abspielen. Was die Aussage mit dem integrierten Treiber soll, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Bei mir wurde kein Laufwerk angezeigt. Der Treiber findet sich auf der Herstellerseite von cablecreation. Der richtige (Windows) ist für CD0624 mit FL2000 Chipset Wenn der Treiber erst mal installiert ist läuft er Adapter sehr gut. Ein und Ausschalten stört ihn auch im laufenden Betrieb nicht. So kann man den Bildschirm bei Bedarf dazu schalten. Großes Prima! Ich kann das Ding nur wärmstens empfehlen.
