An excellent training prop to simulate a bladed weapon. The blade section is 18 1/4 inches inches long with a handle that is 6 1/2 inches and 5/8 inches thick on the blade area. The wood is red Mahogany and is relatively heavy but lighter than Kamagong or Makassar ebony. Traditional style handle has an octagonal cross section of better grip. This Wood Bolo II has a durable and beautiful wood and is preferred by some who is looking for a less expensive and slightly less weight alternative to kamagong model.
