I've had this for several months now. It's super heavy but the adjustments seem to work pretty well. I think the plastic parts are pretty cheap so don't expect to be able to make tension adjustments regularly for very long. But for the price it's been really good so far.

Used for my ev car charger cord in my garage. BMW X5 hybrid. Works as intended and is heavy duty. Should last for years. In my application I wish it had a ‘stop’ so it would stay out until a little tug was given. Highly recommend because of its sturdiness.

i have about 9ft of tesla wall connector cable draped across the garage and this is able to retract it up to the ceiling fine with tension to spare. pull/retract action is very smooth. its all metal build is heavy so make sure to use a large gauge like #20 hook screw and make sure its screwed into stud not drywall. you do not want this heavy thing crashing down from the ceiling. i also used zipties and secured to the hook and to the backup loop in the unit just in case. forget the cheap sub $15 units as they are junk like the first one i bought only lasted 5 months before cable detached from the inside. this unit seems like it will last a long time.

Works great for our needs. We have an overhead plug for our electric vehicle. This retractable hanging spring works perfect for keeping the plug/cord elevated out of our way when not being used.

Perfect for hanging an EV charging cord overhead and out of the way. My son installed one at his home and I eventually ended up buying two of these, one for my Chevy Bolt EUV and then another one for our Tesla Model Y 240v Wall connector cord. 4 years and going strong!
