The Rebirth Of Kirk Franklin

I bought the CD a couple months ago. I was so caught up in worship. I cried - many times. See the CD review by Dondrick Taylor. Dondrick is so articulate and entertaining as he describes his feelings. That's how I felt. Check his review!The DVD is of the same concert. Now I could see what went on, far better than the few tiny screen exerpts on Utube! I highly recommend the DVD. If I had to give away all my Kirk Franklin albums but one, heaven forbid, this is the one I would keep. His CDs up to the time of this concert in 2000, are traditional African American Church. They stir me! Then came this concert, which reveals his heart for "better dialog between blacks and whites in this country" (from his autobiography "Church Boy", page 217). From this album on, Kirk's music concentrates on horizontal ministry to the problems and hurts in the African American culture as well as to the Christian walk. I'm still collecting these albums. So this DVD sits right in the middle of two large Kirk Franklin Chapters. It is the most traditional for the Christian masses. Buy It!

i'v watched this dvd so many times it's not even funny. He's one of my favorites his minstry and touch me in so many ways. I cant even express it accurately!!! My relationship with the Lord has grown so much through his ministry. He has taught me alot about God & it's just a blessing to finally have another one of his ministeries that i can go to time & time again . i encouraged anyone who wants a closer walk with the Lord to get this dvd, cause it will trully bless you time & time again!! To say that this concert experience is awesome would be an understatement! Kirk Franklin and Co. have done it again and outdone themseslves! From the singing strings of the violins and cellos during the worship ballads, to the pounding percussion and bass of the "praise jams," to the WONDERFULLY uplifting, crystal clear harmonies of the choir throughout the entire production, The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin is a spiritual banquet! This, in my opinion, is one of Kirk's masterpieces. "Don't Cry" will have you in tears. "Always" will make you fall in love with Jesus Christ all over again, and "Hosanna" will have you standing up in the middle of your viewing room clapping and dancing! This is a must-have for any lover of praise and worship!

i must admit i do enjoy most of kirk franklin's material, he just knows how to deliver the goods. Kirk has displayed his talent in producing quality gospel R&B (hopefully he'll continue in this genre)but this time he's gone back to a more praise & worship theme with this dvd, and i'm certainly not disappointed. this dvd has an urban feel to it, opening song is the devotional 'my life, my love, my all' followed by a more traditional 'caught up' featuring the legendary Shirley Caesar who sings her heart out. 'looking out for me' has the typical kirk franklin signature to it featuring the late willie neal johnson. 'brighter day, when i get there, and He reigns' definitely are the praise songs but my personal favourites are 'Don't Cry & Always'. although this is an enjoyable dvd there are a couple of gripes i have, firstly Kirk has fallen into what i personally find an irritating trend in dvds and that is having too many interviews during the actual concert giving it a more documentary feel. and secondly, whenever the cameras focused on the choir their singing felt somewhat dubbed over and i couldn't get that feeling of actually being there - even though kirk, the piano session, and guest artists felt live. if i had to compare this concert with his previous one with Nu Nation, Nu Nation would be the one. hopefully this will be released on dvd in the VERY NEAR future.

In my opinion, this DVD is his best. The song selections are good and performances are on point.

Kirk Franklin has out done himself this time since going back to his roots on this DVD. I must say that the vocals on each song will help to bring the presence of God into your heart and mind. My favorites are "Caught Up," "The Blood Song," "Brighter Day," "Lookin' Out For me," "He Reigns," and "Don't Cry." If you heard the CD. You have GOT!!!!!! to get this DVD. Kirk makes you feel like you are almost there. The late Willie Neal Johnson, and Pastor Shirley Caesar performaces (to me) are the highlight of the show. This is a gospel concert of pure GOD's power and BLESSINGS flowing thoughtout the Lakewood Church.To be HONEST!!!!! I just can't keep it out of my DVD player. I watch this DVD more than any other DVD that is in my collection. It is just that POWERFULL!!!!!!! Get this DVD, and share it with your family, friends, CO-Workers, Church Members, and EVEN..... Your Pastor. I know he will ENJOY Kirk as well as you do. Plus, They might just ask you where did you order this DVD from. TELL THEM!!!!!!! And they too can have a REBRITH of there own.

This DVD, is recorded live from a performance in Houston.The DVdstarts with My life, My love, My all and then goes on to housannsa and allthe other favourites with Shirley caesar and Willie Neal Johnson. Icompletely suggest this to anyone even though its a bit old it dosen'tlose any value, it heals and revives the soul. You can feel the holyspirit moving on their hearts. The only downfalls is the lack of the bloodsong on the DVD, however it was very pleasing to see a full age range inthe huge audience.Finally i will say the songs all flow beautifullytogether and give a spirit filled experience all the way through. If uneed a spirirt revival or a want to praise God; buy it.

I'm sorry but after 1 month i'm waiting my purchase; i received nothing, i wrote Amazon to report that and they told me that i have to wait again but that was 2 weeks ago. Now i'm waiting, but i hope receive it one day, because a paid it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But about this dvd don't worry, i know that is a good program one of the best of Kirk F

Very good Gospel DVD, nearly all the songs from the DVD are on it. The singers are brilliant and the voices are heavenly. I felt very inspired and blessed by the songs. Great buy!

Maybe the best Kirk Franklin live concert ever. This recording is getting old and the quality is not too good. But it is a classic.
