Installing the bolt: (1) Chose a point where you wish to install the bolt. Do not rush as ukuleles tend to have very thin wood. Get the screw in about 3 mm, so it stays in place and then remove it. (2) Place the washer over the hole you just made; place the bolt with smaller end on the top of the washer; put the screw in until the bolt is secured (do not over tighten!). Installing the strap: (1) Fix the end of the strap without the strings over the bottom bolt through the hole in the leather end piece of the strap. (2) Fix the end of the strap with the strings by sliding under the strings between the nut and tuner; take the over string and do the same from the other side of the ukulele; tie both ends of the strings at the back of the head of the instrument. (3) Adjust the strap length to your convenience.
