YES. The Tone Finder will work with any Tone Generator. However the Tone Generator for this model will only send a tone on a dead line

Can this be used to find where break in 4 conducter cctv cable -- Ends are open

yes it can, the cable should be disconnected from the source, Tone be traced from Tone Generator to the point of break loudly. After break u will get no Tone or faint tone from induction.
