Love it. Easy installation. Dozens of tones and volume control. We placed the two receives in different parts of the house, makes it very easy to hear the bells. Two great features, 1. No batteries needed, 2. receivers plug into an electrical outlet and still make both outlets available.

Pleasant tones (many choices available, easily changed), adjustable volume (yay!), simple setup, at a fair price. We like it a LOT!

I sent the 1st one of these I received back because I didn't think it included the backplate for mounting with screws. Turns out if I had read the directions, I would have known it was already attached to the doorbell button. The reason for my confusion is the manufacturer didn't predrill the holes in the mounting/back plate for the screws. I almost send the 2nd one back before I read the directions more thoroughly. The only concern I have now is I don't know if I had to remove it for some reason if I could detach the doorbell button from the backplate without breaking it. All that aside I really, really, really like the fact that this wireless doorbell system doesn't require any batteries in either the ringers or the button. The ringers plug into any available socket with a passthrough plug if needed. The doorbell button uses a piezo electric device to generate the power needed to transmit the signal to the ringers when you press it. I put one ringer in my basement and the other upstairs. They both trigger just fine. The buttons for volume and ring tone selection trigger the settings in a circle, so have patience if you need to roll back around to the tune you like. I would prefer forward and back buttons for at least the tunes, but once you find the tune you like you probably won't change it often. Overall, I would buy it again.

We had a hallway and the foyer redone when an electrician removed the electrical outlet and switch covers and the doorbell unit from the wall. The painter who we then contracted a week later to paint, didn't see the wires for the door bell that the electrician pushed back into the wall, and he plastered over the small hole and then painted the wall. Should we break into the newly finished wall to get at the wires to replace the old -- and to be honest -- battered-looking bell unit? We decided it would be much easier to just get one of these transmitter systems instead. We really like this solution, although the previously wired version did have a pushbutton that had a light in it that stayed on all the time that was really nice. The push button unit here, since it is not wired so obviously, it can't have a light in it except when it is pushed -- a minor disadvantage. The sounding unit itself receives the signal pretty much anywhere in a rather large two bedroom apartment and that means as far as 400 feet in either side of the location of the pushbutton door unit and they still responded to a outdoor pushbutton unit. The one caveat (and the reason this doesn't have all 5 stars) is because for all the choices that it gives for what sound you want the indoor "annunciator" unit to play, the only one we found really appealing is the standard Westminster chime or a two chime sound. Most of the rest are less than useful if you are looking for a traditional doorbell sound. More on that below, but even the 8 notes of the Westminster chime has a drawback. It is a bit short in length. First, the actual Westminster bells are 16 notes, while this unit only plays half the melody, that is, 8 notes. We all wished there could be a way to set the player to play the selection twice or maybe three times of that they had included the full 16 note melody. We all felt that being able to get the indoor unit to play a little longer would make sure you heard the doorbell ring. The unit does allow you to select the volume, and making it louder will ensure the occupants will hear it, but we would have preferred hearing it LONGER rather than LOUDER would have been a better option. Then there is the actual sound it produces; for the actually "bell" sounds, they are close enough to bells as you need, I guess, but they are not exactly sounds that anyone would mistake as real struck bells like the old mechanical units make that actually physically strike sounding rods? Not a chance, but as I said, they are close enough for the doorbell "chime" sound to alert you to a caller. The many MANY (32 in all) other sounds you can choose, from woodland sound of birds and chipmunks, while they may be interesting and novel at thirst, they got real old real fast and we quickly agreed they were simply not appropriate as doorbell sounds. As the name itself implies, traditionally it should be a BELL sound, not musical tunes, not birds and certainly not musical tunes that are obviously synth generated. The musical choices really sound cheesy -- very much like the tinny sounds a cell phone makes. We stopped listening to the musical choices after about 10 of these selections. With this wireless system, installation couldn't be easier -- no electrician needed. It really is plug-and-play. AND it came with TWO indoor annunciators which is nice for bigger spaces with rooms far from the front door. On the other hand, it does not have two outdoor pushbutton units. This limits it to homes or especially apartments that only have one door. You will have to search for other units that have two pushbutton door units that will sound distinct sound for both front and back door.

You can test it right out of the box! I have one of the units in my office on mute, but it flashes so I can quietly tell someone is at the front door, even if I am in a meeting. The other is in my main house. You have multiple choices for the volume, and it can get loud on the top setting. What pleases me is that I don't have to charge or replace batteries! For the price, it is a great solution: no wiring, and an easy installation. I don't need a camera on my doorbell; my property has other outdoor systems. I'm simply replacing a 30-year-old defunct doorbell system without having to wire the replacement.

This is a great product. It could not be any simpler. I plugged into the outlet and it worked. I bought the one with two transmitters . So I put one inside and one on the patio.

This easy to install unit took less than five minutes to put up and that includes screwing the unit onto our metal door with the supplied screws. All it took was a drill and screwdriver and finished. The musical box plugs into a standard electrical outlet and does not interfere with the second plug. In fact because of the built-in plug on the box itself, no outlets were lost. We could place the units anywhere in the house and found no loss of connection between the box and doorbell unit. No batteries are needed as the doorbell operates off of a self charging generator located in the doorbell that recharges the battery each time the doorbell is depressed A click and small blue light confirms that the doorbell has been activated. The music box has a couple of options for volume and can easily be raised or lowered as needed. 32 options are available for the musical box to play with everything from the traditional ding ding sound (which is played twice) to more elaborate pieces like the cockoo waltz. Several holiday pieces are also available for holiday festivities. These are easily accessed by a button on the side of the musical box unit. The musical pieces play for about 7 to 11 seconds and usually cover a verse of the song being played so that you don't feel cheated by the ending of the song. There is no interference from our metal door to the unit. I am hard of hearing and have no trouble hearing the ring from several areas of my home. Overall a wonderful addition to the home at a reasonable price.

I have had several battery powered wireless doorbells installed, on my driveway metal gate, that always had range issues and batteries that would fail in less than 14 months. You would never know when they failed until you missed a package that required a signature or a friend that calls you on their cellphone in front of the gate. Older wireless doorbells used a radio frequency that the metal gate obscured and required a healthier battery to work for a 25 foot distance in front of a window. Therefore, not very reliable with many battery changes, and also not too weather proof either when they failed within five years. One day when I was looking to replace the front gate doorbell, after I just replaced the driveway doorbell, I found an advertisement for a battery free wireless doorbell and I took a chance. It has worked flawless for over five years and that made me take a chance this time to try this different model for the driveway gate. I first tried to put the receiver where I always wanted it, around 50 feet behind a door inside the house that usually stays open and hides the wall AC outlet. The second receiver was placed upstairs near a corner where it hides behind furniture around 25 feet from the transmitter. So far it has been working perfectly since it was installed with no issues at all. It comes with screws but after trying the 3M double sided tape on my previous doorbell, I decided to make it an easy install and just use the tape. After five years, the previous tape was still sticking so strong, that the plastic would break off before the tape would if I didn’t use a blade to cut the double sided tape first. The plastic could also have become brittle over the years due to the punishing direct sunlight. The highest volume can be heard outside and loud enough for my needs. I used one of the two standard doorbell sounds because I personally didn’t care for the other musical sounds. The music tones sound great but you first think it’s coming from some cellphone or other electronic device. The plug-in receivers only have two buttons, one for changing the sounds and the other for the volume. The doorbell itself only has the push button to activate the receiver. It can’t get easier than that for a music playing doorbell system. The only thing left is to find out how long it lasts through years of direct sunlight, humidity and rain. I will update when this doorbell fails to operate normally, but it could take over five years of reliable service to find out.

an inspired solution to an everyday problem. ordered this because couldn't hear visitors at the door when I was upstairs. The installation and setup is remarkably simple, attach the push button to the door or wall using either adhesive pads or screws (both supplied), plug in the receiver to an available socket and hey presto, it works, no pairing or using phone apps, no batteries needed as it uses energy from the action of pushing the button to generate the necessary charge. Can select chime and volume but I chose to keep it the way it was initially setup. All in all, a fantastic buy, would highly recommend!!

Received on time. Already paired and ready to use. Loud and clear. Lovely chimes. Simply loving it.

Brilliant, this little doorbell rocker button (no batteries required) and two chimers, each with its own UK power out socket so, plugging the chimer in doesn't lose you a socket. The instructions are, for once, largely clear and accurate. I'd set the chimers up, ring tone I wanted and desired volume (can be changed anytime), drilled 2 holes for the rocker button plastic backplate and the whole thing was set up and working. This lovely little unit did what 3 networked smart doorbell systems couldn't, connected to everything it needed to, stayed connected and worked. The rocker bellpush is about standard size, looks modern and attractive, the two chimer units are roughly the same size as any other chimer but with the advantage of having a plug socket integral to the unit so that plugging it in doesn't lose a socket. The individual pieces of the set up look and feel durable, are well built and have a reassuring solidity suggesting an element of longevity. Compared to a smart doorbell system it's near minimal (2 chimers lifts it above a base level) but, the Tecknet system doesn't complain about walls, metal doors or anything else between the bellpush and chimers, it just uncomplicatedly works and does it for far less money. Speaking as someone who has 3 defunct or refusenik smart doorbell systems, one of which worked until its bellpush battery packed in (took about 9 months!) whilst the other two wouldn't connect to my home LAN (even from about 6 inches from a router!), this system is a miracle and worth every penny (especially as it costs a fraction of a smart system). For anyone who just wants a doorbell system that rings when anyone visits or is dropping off a parcel, doesn't need video or the ability to talk to the bellpush pusher (and doesn't want an ongoing subscription to make the system actually useful), this is it. Highly recommended.

I've bought a few of this type of doorbell online and if I'm honest they have never really been much good. The batteries seem to run out fast, they aren't very loud and just stop working. I was so fed up though of missing people at the front door that I decided to try yet again. After all, this one was so cheap it wouldn't be the end of the world if it went the same way as the more expensive other ones I've tried. Yes. I know. I'm a muppet. Stop wasting money. Well, I've had this doorbell now for quite some time. I ordered it at the end of January so as I write this review I have had it for a good 7 months. Installation. Put a batter in the door bell. Stick it to the door frame or wherever you want it. Plus the two chimes into a socket of your choice. Press the chime to select your tune. Done. Battery life. I have no idea how long the battery in the outside button lasts but I can tell you that it is over 7 months. Mine has not ran out yet. Volume. The volume is perfect. You are provided with two chimes which plug into a wall socket so you can place them in a convenient location. Chimes. There is a selection of chimes available and they are not all those tacky horrid tunes that so often come with these. Quality. I really can not fault the quality. All 3 units are very well made. Look good and perform the task well. Range. I would say that the range is very good. We have issues with bluetooth/wifi working through out front door but have no issues with this. irt has worked perfect since the day I received it. Overall. 10/10. I very highly recommend this doorbell.
