A Table in the Wilderness Paperback – March 1, 2005

A Table in the Wilderness is truly one of those timeless classics. My copy is a well-worn friend, the pages keep falling out but I won't replace it. I recently purchased 5 copies to give to my two sons and two sons-in-law and a friend. Each time I read it I glean something different as I should, I suppose. I've put in side notes of what God was speaking to me at the time. Watchman was a bold and dedicated follower of Messiah. His insights and stories are inspiring, make you uncomfortable at times (in a challenging sense), and comforting (in the sense of gaining a greater awareness of the truly amazing grace of God). His daily commentary will assist you as you meditate on God's wonderful love story to us, the Bible. Purchase this book if you dare.

This devotional is compiled from the Watchman Nee's written material, and is excellent in what was included in daily segments as to length and content. Mr. Nee has such deep spiritual insights and are always worth reading.

This is one of the best daily devotion books around. I like it better than Oswald Chambers which is saying a lot. It gets me started on days when I can't seem to find God with a flashlight. On the other days it directs and encourages me a lot. I recommend it for all believers.

Excellent; insightful; profound

I've always loved Watchman Nee, so knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The only negative for me personally is that it's a devotional with dates, as some days I just prefer to read my bible and nothing else. So then I thought well let's just ignore the dates, and read it the way I prefer, as and when!Watchman Nee has such insight and depth, sometimes you just want to stop and ponder what he's just said, that's what I love about his writings. The devotional is a taster of all that.

I look forward to reading this every day. It's the best daily devotional I've ever read!

So glad I found this book again. I had it years ago in my youth and then in a flood got really ruined. I didn’t think I would find it again after so many years. An inspiring companion!
