is the post solid or hollow? thinking about drilling a hole and tapping it so it will mount on a cymbal stand. Diameter?

This post is made out of solid plastic. Otherwise it would snap under the weight and pressure of mounting it. Hope this helps...

Hi, long side is 4 inches hole center to hole center. Short side holes are 2 & 3/4 inches hole center to hole center.
